Bilic is poor man's Arsen Wenger: attack, attack, attack with no holding or defensive midfielders, no cover for the defense... the difference is, our forwards's efforts are not really supported by attacking midfielders apart from Antonio. Add to the mix our players not training enough, played out of position, and as a result, 3 or 4 goals shipped in every game + we have difficulties with scoring goals. Enough is enough. Somebody has to sort this mess, and it won't be Bilic, simply because he is unable to do so.
Bilic obvious can organise a defence, last season we went three games without conceding a goal (Everton home 0-0, Stoke away 0-0, Spurs home 1-0) and the season before we had three 0-0 draws in a row.

ASLEF, I guess the problem is right there. Finding the right balance between defence and attack.
I didn't like big Sam's style but he knew what he wanted and how his team should play. How is that funny?
It's funny because I'd lay a penny to a pound that at the time BFS was struggling you were saying pretty much the same as you are now about Slav, but now you're even using BFS as an example to whip Slaven Bilic
You want him out I get it, you want to end to all things rubbish about WHUFC fine.
I'll carry on backing the manager until o see that there is absolutely no hope and he's been given every chance.
That's where we differ, it's okay it's just opinions

This....and the year before didn't we grind out five draws when we had lots of injuries? The problem as mentioned is getting the balance right between lockdown and attack
Slaven has had an awful lot to deal with during his time at WHUFC, I would argue that he has arguably presided over the 2 most challenging and important seasons in the clubs history- the last season at the Boleyn and the first at the OS with all the baggage that entailed; in addition, our best player leaving and a debilitating injury list throughout clearly has a knock on effect around planning/structure/identity, etc which can only come though consistency and being able to work with a settled squad.Things are improving and when things are settled we have a very good squad and first 11.
It isnt about whether BFS or Pulis' approach is better or whatever because inherently it is simply not right for WHU; That is why BFS left after doing good work, that is why we currently have 50k season ticket holders and that is why despite Pulis' impressive work there are always empty seats at WBA. We have to move away from this battle of ideologies as though it is simply one or the other. Pulis and BFS reduce football to its simplest- football is a game of mistakes and their entire approach is to reduce as many as possible; thats fair enough but it comes at a cost within the wider footballing spectrum as shown by BFS time at the club.
Now is the time to get behind the manager, the coaching staff and players because , the alternative of new manager, new coaching staff, new players, new everything! would only be another short term approach, undoing all the work of previous seasons. Slaven is a great man, a WHU man, a very accomplished manager and a very intelligent man; If given support he will get us back on track and we can still have a great season, it is after all 3 games in and have had to play all away from home + the red card vs Saints. I will leave you with this: during slavens first season we finished 7th- 4 points off 4th. Last season we finished 11th- 1 point off 8th. Whilst they dont provide all the context and colour, nonetheless within the context of WHU's history, Slaven has done very well. Get behind him. ;bowdown ;bowdown ;bowdown ;bowdown
I am not using Big Sam to whip Slaven. I have said that even though I didn't enjoy his style he had a game plan and knew what he wanted. We have a better squad now but there is no style or to me also any game plan it's just a total mess. I don't particularly want Slav to leave I quite like him as a man etc. What I really don't understand is why we are such a rubbish football team when we should be much better with the players we have .
Going on last seasons results though we are already down 7 points on our total..... so in order to just match last seasons poor 11th we need to make up 7 points else where....
As someone said elsewhere when was the last time we were 3pts behind Arsenal and 4pts behind Spurs.......
I can live with no points in August, I expect September to be different especially against WBA when we'll hopefully have everyone available. Antonio, Lanzini and Arnautovic playing behind Hernandez should be something quite enjoyable.
Comparisons between last year and this year/equivalent fixtures are not the issue for me. The only thing that matters is 3 games, 3 losses, 10 goals shipped. That represents a pretty dismal situation, one which needs rectifying urgently.

Last season after our first 6 games we had 3 points
Lost to Chelsea, City, Watford, WBA and Saints only beating Bournemouth

Pretty good next few months fixtures wise. January through to the end of March also a good period of fixures for us.
the week its not defending that's for sure.
I believe we got 1 point at Man U / 3 at Southampton / 3 at Boro
7 points there. This time around 0 points. So we are currently 7 down on last seasons results.
Nothing will change under this ownership .
Lets sub Boro for Hull instead. Now we're only 4 points down so not so bad.
