    Presumably, even if he is in talks with another club, Frankfurt have only agreed a fee with us, otherwise they would have stated, given they have publicly announced it already with us.

    So all a bit irrelevant unless that interested club agrees a £40m fee with his club.

    I had not heard of him and 45m sounds quite a lot for a player who has been playing for Frankfurt. I would have hoped at that sort of fee you could try and pick up the players that possibly signed for the big clubs but didn't quite make it, couldn't get enough pitch time and are happy to drop down to do so on good wages. A sort of Barca b-team player. But I guess if that's what 45m gets you in this market then that's what it gets you. I know there are factors that made Arnie unviable now but At 45m I would hope he is at least as good as it would be a shame to have sold a better player for half the price of his replacement.

    Could be his agent trying to get us to bump up the wages by releasing rumours . The medical is usually the last bit before you sign so hopefully he will have it today and sign up

    We’ll know soon enough. If he is due today for a medical & doesn’t show up, then there is a problem. Inter are just using interest to get a better fee for Lukaku. I’m pretty confident this deal will be done. We are the only club to have agreed a fee with Frankfurt. I’m sure agent talks with clubs goes on all year round with every player.

    Right now he should be one of the best midfielders in the country, if not the world. Instead, he’s playing for Sheffield United.

    Such a shame.

    He could still be a very good player if only he applied himself. Sounds like he needed to cut a lot of "so called friends" out of his life and make some better choices to his lifestyle.

    If you follow Ex you will know he doesn’t confirm anything until he has two reliable, in his opinion, sources. He doesn’t look for scoops. He mentioned Haller a while back as a player of interest.
