West Ham captain Mark Noble feels Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has "been hard done by" with the England stopper expected to move on loan to the London Stadium.
Hart spent last season in Serie A in Torino but Sky sources understand he is likely to join the Hammers on loan by Monday.
Noble said: "In my opinion, he [Hart] has been a little bit hard done by in recent years. He has been fantastic for England and for his club for the last 10 years and he probably deserves a little bit more respect
Any sign of little pea,, we end up with sweet pea ;lol
The worry is we'll end up with sweet something else ;doh
Did you know there was a Fanny Adams. She was an 8-year old from Hampshirr who was murdered in 1867 and chopped up. Her murderer admitted his crime but couldn't remember where he'd left the bits and most of her was never recovered. When the Royal Navy were issued with tins of chopped mutton they speculated where the rest of her had ended up.....
Just signed in to see who we haven't signed again this week and I'm not disappointed. I'll sign in again next week to see who we haven't signed again. ;biggrin
West Ham will make a third bid for Stoke City winger Marko Arnautovic when the time is right, according to Sky sources.
They have already had two bids rejected - £15m and £20m - while Arnautovic has handed in a transfer request and we are told he wants to move to West Ham.
What goes 'time is right' mean? What, after someone else has bid for him?
It probably means once they have sorted out how much they need to pay for hart, how much they will get for feg and then determine what is left for Arnie and hopefully a striker
Don't really understand letting Feghouli go...especially for the fee being banded about of £4mil ish
He struggled in his first season Granted but he struggled with injuries that killed any momentum and he showed the ability that made him such a hot property(not to mention what made him such a good signing upon announcement) toward the end of the season
I agree it seems unlikely to me, but that is what is being said. I guess the fact he came on a free might explain his wages being high? But still it seems unlikely.
I like the idea of Hart joining and although the price may seem steep for Arnie at 20m + seeing what is being spent elsewhere on other players, and assuming we are a team he wants to join and that he is a player we want, then I think then we should show willing and get him for Stokes asking price.
I am not sure that I am a fan of the low ball offer and then creep it up until we get to a deal, I understand sales and have been involved in many negotiations but I think that in the footie world, there is a real value in making a player feel wanted.
I think with Arnautovic, Slav has probably looked at him as a bit of a character, in the sense that he is probably a lot more intense than some of our players.
We do need to increase the personality and standards of the squad. I think with a lot of the players we're linked with, that is clearly an area Slav wants improving. Arnie, Zab and Hart are all proven players and probably quite influential in the dressing room.
I looked at our side last season; Kouyate, Obiang, Feghouli, Lanzini, Byram, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Calleri, Fernandes, Masuaku, Nordtveit, Snodgrass etc and didn't really see anybody capable of lifting a team or that others look up too.
I think apart from Reid, Fonte, Collins, Noble, Sakho and Carroll, we don't really have any 'hardened' players with obvious leadership qualities.
There are probably many better LW's out there than Arnie. But Slav obviously sees something in him that he wants in our squad. He is the sort of player who puts in performance worthy of the prestigious MOTD analysis roll, but won't exactly do that every week. But how many LW's do that every week. It's a position where you can often be isolated and you are judged by scoring AND assisting standards. Not to mention tracking back. Often a thankless task in a mid-table/lower half side.
Add Gray to that list and then it will be a great window.
Agree would love Gray aswell depends what systems Slav intends to play he seems intent on playing two wingers so I m thinking 4,5,1 or 4,4,1,1 but lets get one striker in first then worry about a second ;thumbsup

HAMMERS' NEW ARNAUTOVIC BID

Lucas Biglia £15mil
Leonardo Bonnuci - £35mil
Andrea Conti - £21mil
Andre Silva - £32mil
Hakan Calhanoglu - £19mil
Mateo Musacchio - £15mil
Ricardo Rodriguez - £15mil
Franck Kessie £6mil loan (£32mil perm)
Donnarumma - £1mil
Bornini- Loan
Can almost make an entirely new team from that
Donnarumma
Conti - Bonnuci - Masacchio - Rodriguez
Biglia - Kessie
Silva - Calhanoglu - Bornini
Morata/PEA/Belotti
Just missing a striker now and they have a new XI that could win the league!! How mental is that
Donnarumma is not a signing - he was already with Milan.
They are also in talks for Renato Sanchez....ain't life easy for them
I agree it seems unlikely to me, but that is what is being said. I guess the fact he came on a free might explain his wages being high? But still it seems unlikely.

Told #whufc have tabled a third bid for #scfc Marko Arnautovic. Value not clear, but more than £20m of last bid.
I am not sure that I am a fan of the low ball offer and then creep it up until we get to a deal, I understand sales and have been involved in many negotiations but I think that in the footie world, there is a real value in making a player feel wanted.
Nobody else 'seems' to be in for him, which is a bit ;hmm
Hernandez would score goals for anybody, IMO, so would be happy with him.
