Think for that value (not sure i trust sky ) it's a huge mistake not going for him
He would as good as guarantee 10+ goals a season which in itself could be worth another 8-10 points per season.
I'll be interested to see how this pans out, because I'm not convinced we can attract better; particularly someone who is a proven PL goalscorer
Paper talk.
Another striker to add to the gossip list
Fair enough the salary is 'paper talk', but then that is true for any player's salary, so we are no better when we discuss what we think our players are earning.
As with Bats and Iheanacho, even if Martial was allowed to go, I can see better teams with more to offer than us being interested, so another one we have no chance with, IMO.
I disagree with that, tbh. Whilst he has played out there more often than not, it doesn't mean he isn't an extremely capable CF
As a CF 6 goals in 33 apps, as a winger 20 goals in 62.
I know where I'd play him. A bit like Antonio in that respect
I do appreciate where you're coming from, I just think that he has shown a lot of the capabilities we would want from a striker
Shane Long. Just remember I said it first....
The only way Bats is available is if Costa goes , IMO.
Of the top targets, the one I think is most likely is Iheanacho. I think if we go in really early with a big bid (£20m + 10% of profit on any sell on) and show him that he is our number one target and will start the season as our first choice, we will have a really good shot at getting him.
90min.com/posts/5036847-kelechi-iheanacho-s-agent-rules-out-spurs-switch-this-summer-but-offers-hope-to-two-other-pl-clubs?ref=1&team=west-ham&utm_campaign=West+Ham&utm_medium=fan_pages&utm_source=facebook.com.html
So Iheanacho's agent has ruled out a move to Spurs for his client, but Everton and West Ham are possibilities, it would seem ;hmm
Think we will probably be outbidded, but he'd be a great signing and we should try go for him EARLY
But getting in early is the key here. Make him know he's our No1 choice and don't mess around with unreasonable offers.
Looks like there may be an opportunity here; really hope we can take it.
No move Sturridge ;wahoo
He cost United almost £40mil and have already paid add-ons of another £8mil so if we are getting him you are looking at £50mil which is out of our range
