    From that Sun article:

“We are going to have to take some risks because we are not a Real Madrid or a Manchester United.

“They can get a player who is no risk and just say 'get him here.' We can't do that.

Either you take a risk on players who have possibly made it in a lower league or somebody who did it two years ago and then maybe had a little blip and you hope he's going to do it again.

“Maybe he’s a little in injury prone or who is a strange character. It is hard for us to get those who are a 10 out of 10.”

Bony, Sturridge and Balotelli on the list then...
  • Id keep lanzini over sig
  • Sig is a better and more influential player than lanzini, however the difference isn't great enough to consider effectively swapping one for the other
  • Disagree. Lanzini is involved in the game all the time whereas Siggy disappears at times.
  • Sigs game is about delivery. Teams may want him but away from Swansea he didnt stand out at all at Spurs. Lanzini IMO is different class (even without the WHU bias).

I worry that our buying Snodders may mean we don't get Siggers. I mean to say if we hadn't have bought Snodders, perhaps Swansea would have gone down instead of Hull, and Siggers would have been easier to buy (for us but of course for others too). Anyway, I'd prefer Siggers over Snodders, but am not sure we can have both.

Sell Lanzini? Messi's favourite player? Don't even go there...
  • Excellent comments by Bilic in the Sun story...

They should be posted to the top of any transfer thread....
  • The bit not quoted by OCS also indicates their mistake with last summer, nit needing squad players but players that make a difference.

Also I think Defoe will happen, for hi, to say this is home in such a positive and open manner...

This is probably a common view amongst West Ham fans because West Ham fans will likely scrutinise West Ham games and players in greater detail than players of other clubs. I'm sure there will be many Swansea fans who will beg to differ

Will make a difference to our summer plans....

The highest West Ham can finish this season is 9th, winning £22.8m prize money, the lowest is 16th, which would earn the club £9.5m.
  • Whilst we can finish as low as 16th, realistically, due to our poor goal difference, the highest we can really finish is 11th.
  • Can't see Swansea wanting to sell Siggurdson he is their main man
  • Payet anyone?

  • What?........What?
  • ;deadhorse
  • I'm sure we were linked to Jimenez a few years ago ;hmm

I think Bony is more likely than Jimenez, to be honest
  • OCS we have been liked to 90% of players on the planet in the last few years ;lol
  • He's not an upgrade of on what we have though....doesn't really make sense unless we intend to get rid of both Randolph and Adrian and get ruddy and a new #1

If we want a keeper I'd go all out to get Pickford IMO ;ok
  • He'd be the back up keeper.
  • I imagine if that story were true both Randy and Adrian are likely to be off.
  • Ruddy couldn't even get in the Norwich team.
  • He's not as good as either Adrian or Randy so one could be off but not both.
  • If we go into the season with Randolph and Ruddy as our keeper options I will be very concerned.
  • If we want a keeper I'd go all out to get Pickford IMO ;ok

I think he'd cost too much for us. I can see Sunderlands holding out for £15m plus and we won't pay that for a 'keeper.

If De Gea goes to Madrid, Pickford goes to Old Trafford, I reckon
  • Mourinho won't put a kid in goal.
  • Of the Premier League keepers who could be on the move, I think the one for us should be Begovic, personally.
