  • The seat exchange is up and running again. After they were warned by West Ham regarding the legality of the website they have rewritten it so comply.
You register your interest in exchanging your ST from a standing to sitting seat or vice versa. Your seat goes on the list which is visible to all but only if you are registered can you make contact with the other ST holder. Once agreed on a swap both then contact West Ham to make it official. That's the gist of it anyway.

Sense is slowly prevailing, we hope.
  • IH,

But if the stadium owners and managers are still insisting on 'No Standing' what is the point of swapping tickets - or have they now made a concession on this? The reality could be that by allowing the swap, they then identify all those who are going to stand and will make it easier to ID them and cancel their ST's.

;hmm What a cunning plan!!! ;hmm
  • Well, I had to, din't I?
  • SSN are saying that David Gold says that 'the club are exploring a safe standing option at the London Stadium'.
  • He keeps saying that.

I hope this time he is actually talking to the premier league.

  • Oh. Ok. ;biggrin
  • So,

Karen Brady is telling fans to sit down.

David Gold is telling fans to sit down else we won't get a licence for 60k then 66k.

Jack and David jnr. are openly supporting the standing fans.

Jackie Gold came out yesterday with the 'sit down until we get the 66k then you can do what you want!

    David Sullivan has said nothing.

    Clear now? ;doh
  • The children really need to be told to put a sock in it ;doh
  • That they do.

They are making the situation worse.

If those standing are banned will the boys get them their season tickets back.
  • Jackie Gold came out yesterday with the 'sit down until we get the 66k then you can do what you want!

They are going to take her CBE away if she keeps on talking sense....

What a stupid thing to say.

Like, they can't reduce the capacity again if we breach the licence conditions. ;doh
  • A lot of the arguments are based on the belief that the board are just trying to cash in on the additional 9k seats, which of course they deny. Jackie Golds comments give some credence to that argument.

    ;lol Cash in on?

Of course they are trying to cash in on bring more revenue into the club. Isn't that what they are supposed to do?

Maybe they should demonstrate their purity of heart and disdain for filthy lucre by not selling any tickets ;hmm

Yes, give them away to Surrey residents ;thumbsup

Only if you promise not to buy any food or drink at the stadium, and under no circumstances are you to spend any money in the club shop. ;ok
  • OK, sorted ;ok

To line their own pockets and not the football clubs is the argument.

Not an argument I find convincing or have any sympathy with, tbh ;ok

Remind me again how much they spent in the transfer window....

    Not enough ;wink ;run
  • How much of their own money have they sunk into the club so far?

Stupid baseless old argument about the owners (imho).

Nothing as far as I know. Around £45m of the Sky money though.
  • That's not really a convincing argument, though, is it. (It's not to me, anyway.)

Money comes in to the club from a variety of sources. It's what the business generates.

Money goes out to ensure the business keeps running and stays competitive. And is still here next year.

  • It's not my argument though Mrs G, just what a number of people are writing on social media.

That said, Jackie Golds statement could be seen as supporting their argument.
  • She, along with the Sullivan boys, need to shut up.
