I mean, it's C&H so who knows, but this piece is claiming we may not actually sign JWP 🤔
"Our key source told Claret and Hugh exclusively a few minutes ago: “We’ll sign Ward-Prowse or the Scottish midfielder from Man Utd in next 72 hours, but sadly not Friday in time to get either registered for the game at Bournemouth.”
SKY reporting JWP is having his medical.
As in having it now? Some saying it was tonight, some saying tomorrow. If it's happening now, you'd think they'd be able to register him by midday tomorrow.
Not sure what has gone on at Spurs as Kane is apparently wanting to remain. Although I think it's the right decision from his point of view someone must be wondering what he is playing at. They have been negotiating a deal for the last six weeks involving offer and counter offer when he could have decided if he fancied it before they got going.
I wonder if it's Levy trying to pressure him into going as he wont sign a new contract, yet dictate that he goes abroad. So deliberately didn't even consult Kane.
I just don’t get the appeal of Bayern. You’ll win things but you’ve made no difference to whether they win anything because they’re so dominant in Germany, so where’s the satisfaction? Going there just for trophies is just stat-padding - a pretty empty achievement. Winning the Champions League would be worth it doesn’t feel like they’re real challengers these days.
Kane should leave, he can spend 3/4 years in Germany, win a couple leagues, maybe even compete in the champions league and then he can come back to the Prem
Even if he's 34, I can't imagine Kane slipping too much, the guy is like Lewandowski/Benzema, their games are not based off pace and he'll be hitting 10-20 goals a season still when he comes back
3 or 4 more seasons at that level he still beats the Shearer Record all before the age of 40 but with a couple trophies to go with it
Harry Maguire still stewing over West Ham move despite Man Utd accepting £30m bid reports The Mirror. IF he doesn't want to join us fair enough then let's get a younger Centre Half in who does?
Mixed rumours over this; Sky say personal terms are agreed & just a small financial settlement between MU & Maguire is delaying the deal. Think The Mirror is guesswork based on no news recently.
Mirror article is based on an original piece in the Daily Mail (link in the 4th paragraph) which claims
"Maguire could yet insist on staying at United, where he is contracted until 2025 with the option to extend for a further year, or wait to see if other offers arrive for him in the summer's transfer window."
So no actual quote from Maguire or another "source" at Man Utd's training ground, just "Kieran Gill for Mailonline" speculating. Maybe he's a mind reader...
Id rather win the bundesliga and have a chance to win the CL, then have the goal scoring record. No one can take your titles from you, but someone can take the record.
McTominay has Spurs written all over him. They can have him.
Spurs are pretty well stocked for central midfielders with Hojbjerg, Bissouma and Skipp plus Ndombele due back from injury soon with Bentancur due back in a month or two.
There have been rumours that Hojbjerg, Ndombele and Skipp could be leaving but no actual offers so far
McTominey isn't really an upgrade on the players Spurs already have
OCS, I don’t know what our scout in South America does as we have missed out on several good young talents from there recently. Didn’t Rob Newman set up some kind of scouting network in Brazil still yet to see any evidence of that bearing fruit?

I'm not sure that it's the scouting necessarily. We were said to be one of the teams interested in Caicedo back in 2021 but decided against matching Brighton's £4.5m bid.
It looks more like the decision making that is somewhat lacking.
It's funny to me that Jurgen Klopp said how there was no way Liverpool could afford Jude Bellingham, and they are now dropping more than the Bellingham fee on Caicedo.

1 season with us, where he was very good but not a £80mil talent though
Not that I trust Moyes with £80mil though

Yet no-one is going to bat an eye-lid when Caicedo, with 1 full season of top flight football, goes for £110mil
Football is truely broken

They're two positions that we're still looking at, so we have extra competition within the league now.
