I am losing a bit of respect for him with all these cryptic messages, he isn't a child but a 30 year old professional footballer negotiating a big move. Do it properly Jesse.
I don’t judge Lingard’s decisions. But, what we know, when he could have been in a pre-season getting fit for the new campaign, after 12 months of barely kicking a ball, he’s been doing other things & following other ventures. It’s his choice, but does it tell us where his appetite for football is, currently?
"You want to win the games and you want to go in [to the season] in good form. We certainly need to make a lot of changes and do something different, that’s for sure.
We have bids in for players and we’re trying to get them in. Getting them in at the moment is seeming quite difficult but by watching what I’ve seen in the opening games we need to add very quickly to the squad of players we’ve got."

Tbh, it's got to the stage where, despite the fact it's clear Moyes really wants him still, I'd rather we didn't get him. It seems to me he's believing his own hype with all his stuff on social media, and, as I mentioned a while back, if he was seriously entertaining thoughts of playing in the MLS (and subsequently the Middle East) then I'm not sure he's the man we need (and that was before all the nonsense he's been posting this last week, which, to my mind, is just disrespectful to fans of clubs that might have wanted him to join).
The forum rules prevent me from saying what I really think he is.
Lingard's agents are doing what they are supposed to do, trying to get the best deal they can for their client and they wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't explore all the available options
West Ham's negotiating team are doing what they are supposed to do, trying to get the best deal they can for the club
While Lingard might make more money playing in the USA or Saudi Arabia it would almost certainly end any chance of getting another England call up and it would mean either leaving his family behind or them moving with him
Of the other English teams interested I suspect only Newcastle would be willing to pay more than West Ham and only can Spurs offer him European football this season.
Everton and Leicester might be able to match us on salary but I doubt if Forest could afford anything near what we are offering
There are still 43 days until the window closes, there's no rush
Jesse has always been about self promotion and whilst it can be irritating sometimes its just how he is in an era where hes not alone. Not sure how the clothing line is going though
Hope he does go to Forest, absolutely think he will be an anonymous player for whichever club he lands at. Still think it was a waste of time to chase him at all. We should have moved on a year ago.

Whilst this is true, there are also seven competitive games in this time and we're looking increasingly likely to go into them with the same team that finished last season so poorly.
I may be on my own here, but if we go into the City game with Antonio as our only striker and without an upgrade on Cresswell, then I believe the club has failed. I get that there will be time afterwards to address those positions, but it's been abundantly clear for a long time that those two positions in particular needed sorting.
The fact is we've lost more first team options that we've brought in, and there are only two pre-season games left. Moyes' comments last night suggest that we're not close to signing anyone, so we're likely to go onto the Luton game with the same squad again (less Aguerd). I've watched the pre-season games that have been broadcast and it's not been great viewing to be honest; we struggled to break teams down last season and I've seen nothing in terms of recruitment or tactics in pre-season to make me think we can change that. Benrahma has looked heavy, Fornals has looked slow, Lanzini has looked lost and Antonio has looked clueless (all IMO, of course).
We need improvements in the final third, and sooner rather than later.

Yes I agree, but it seems we are targeting players that improve those positions....and naturally you'd argue the player that you want, are players teams don't want to sell and therefore will be harder to buy

Lost "first team" players but let's be honest, they aren't really a miss apart from maybe Noble
Ashby has looked like he can do the job of Fredericks if not better, and Downes potentially can replace Noble....Coventry can at least do what Kral can which was nothing
Yarmolenko hasn't been replaced but that's kind of it
And RE: the players form....its pre season, United are blowing teams away but they were absolutely awful last year
It's about fitness, hence why players are looking slow/off the pace
We need some attackers, agree with that, but I prefer the club not to panic and buy someone like Dennis if Broja/Scammaca, IMO players far more suitable, could potentially still be bought
I'd take taking a hit on the first 7 games than having a player of inferior quality of the next 4 or 5 years
I will honestly laugh if he goes to Forest. Zero chance of getting back in the England squad (which is a long shot anyway, maybe he knows that). Even if we were offering half of what Forest are, who would go there! Perhaps he wants to try and get himself in a relegation scrap in his just past prime years. Even if he freakily signs for them I wont believe it until I see him in a tricky tree shirt
Tbf it is truely ridiculous (if true)....especially ad you'd make them favourites to go down
But then again, if Forest view him a seeing the saviour that can save them from relegation....he will be making them £100mil plus for another year in the prem
Absolutely no way Forest can afford £200k pw, the best estimates I've seen are that Steve Cook was the top earner on £35k pw and their total wage bill is around £300k pw!
Blimey ASLEF, you have a tailor. Those train drivers eh! 😂
I used to work for a "Gentlemen's Outfitters" before I moved to the railways so always appreciated a decent whistle. Admittedly my tailor doesn't get a lot of work from me but I found some 2-tone Tonic mohair suiting online just begging to be turned into a three-button suit.
Re Lingard… If we miss out getting him because a difference of around £25k a week that’s hardly worth it, if he makes the move to us and improves us by just 1 place in the league, we’d get that back and more…
I’m not saying we should just chuck money around or just pay what a player demands, but if this is what it really boils down to…..

Yes I’ve lost respect for him with all this schoolgirl teasing will I won’t I stuff. Grow up and be professional.
Palace and West Ham in talks for Burnley midfielder McNeil Crystal Palace and West Ham are both in talks with Burnley over a deal for midfielder Dwight McNeil. The 22-year-old has made 134 Premier League appearances and is seen as a prime target because of his experience of top-level football while still being in his early 20s. McNeil is keen to return to the Premier League and is currently considering a number of options. However, Burnley are in a strong bargaining position, despite relegation, as McNeil has two years remaining on his current deal and the club have the option to extend that contract by a further year. The Clarets are likely to demand a fee in excess of £15m for McNeil if they are to sanction his departure.
I really like Dwight McNeil. He feels like a Moyes sort of player, he's quick, he's creative, he works really hard, and he doesn't seem like he's got much of an ego. That said, he gets nowhere near enough goals or assists, so he would absolutely need to improve on that.

Doesn't sound like anything is close.
Just worryingly similar to what he was saying in January, and we know how that ended.

He has $$$ on his mind
