I'll say it again, I wouldn't be surprised if Moyes sticks with Cresswell as our first choice LB with Johnson as second choice RB/LB to give him more playing time and Masuaku as emergency cover.
Moyes will leave signing a new LB until next summer or maybe bring someone in on loan with an option to buy in January.
Cresswell bought a new house on Merseyside earlier this year so he's clearly planning ahead for when his contract expires at the end of the season. Either he'll retire or play for a lower league side.
He'll be 33 in December, he's got two young kids approaching school age, his missus is also from Liverpool and her maiden name was...

There seemed to be a level of confidence amongst the more reputable ITKs that we were close on Lingard, Broja and Onana, but that confidence seems to have been checked somewhat since.
I'm laid up with Covid at the moment so will closely monitor these players' social media accounts for any subtle clues about their futures.
Thankfully it's not affecting my breathing, but the headache, backache and fatigue has hammered me.
A few interesting Broja stats I can see why Moyes wants him
Full of pace, power, pressing and is only 20

West Ham are in negotiation with Jesse Lingard's representatives with a growing feeling the player will choose to return to the club.
Lingard is a free agent after his contract at Manchester United expired on June 30th.
Meanwhile, talks continue with Chelsea over the signing of striker Armando Broja. West Ham remain hopeful of completing the signing.
Dialogue also remains open with Sassuolo over the signing of Gianluca Scamacca.
While signing both Broja and Scamacca has not been ruled out, it's increasingly likely to be one or the other.
The Hammers are still waiting for an official response from Lille to their €38m plus add-ons offer for midfielder Amadou Onana.
If true, it sounds a bit like we're being held to ransome 🤔
Everton remain interested in Burnley winger Maxwel Cornet despite having an offer of a season-long loan rejected by the Championship club.
The 25-year-old is likely to leave Turf Moor this summer and there is a strong possibility that Everton will come again for Cornet.
But the deal has to be one that suits Frank Lampard and director of football Kevin Thelwell, who are plotting to get the club back on an even keel.
Fulham are also interested in Cornet with Burnley boss Vincent Kompany saying on Friday that they would "have to prepare probably for a period after him and that is what we are doing".
Happy if the club decide to walk away
Think Lingard improves us but think he'll never reach the unrealistic form he showed while on loan
30 and hasn't played barely any football for 12 months, wouldn't surprise me if the club walk away....tbf don't think he's worth the money that I've heard rumoured
Realistically who is going to share that information with so called ITKs?
Come on, it’s just made up click bait isn’t it?
Obviously there are people who share some of these things, otherwise we wouldn't know about any transfers until they were announced or if the club actually made press statements saying they want this or that player.
