First Perkins, now Alese. Players with senior minutes and high potential moving on.
Do they not see a path into first team football under Moyes? Both featured on the bench quite a lot last season but didn’t feature much, even with the issues we had. Or maybe they're just not good enough for where we want to be as a club.
Good luck to them though. Presume both want to play regular first team football so wish them all the best.
I think Alese was sold and we will be due compensation for Perkins. The club also essentially accused a club of tapping up Perkins so wonder if something will come up there as well.
Perkins was at the end of his contract, so no fee as such. Think we're entitled to compensation though. Alese, according to Ex, went for a fee in line with recent U23 transfers. Can only assume that means a six-figure sum.
Belongs on the Wordle thread, I reckon. Proper riddle, that. The good thing is it looks like he's made a decision, and the car thing could suggest that he's chosen the cheaper option (i.e. a PL team over Saudi/MLS?
Pure guess work, but it looks like it'll be resolved soon. Thankfully.

£500k + 25% of next fee for Alese is what's being reported
Is someone coming in with a crazy offer for Rice or Bowen or something ? cant see us splashing that much with what we have brought already
Some people are suggesting we're spending next season's budget (i.e. the Rice money), but we made a decent wedge from the EL and spent nothing in January, so should have a good-sized kitty this summer.
We won't sign Broja and Scamacca, but assuming for a second we get one of those and Onana, that's c.£65m on top of the £47m already spent on Aguerd, Areola and Downes; so £112m spent with a left back also supposedly to come. That's a lot of money for West Ham, but if you want to regularly compete with the best, you have to spend big.
If we get Onana why should Soucek or anyone go? Downes is a replacement for Noble and we also let Kral go. We spend 10 months of the year complaining we need two players for each position but as soon as we sign someone people seem to want to get rid of players. It baffles me.
I remember Tony Carr saying his aim for the youngsters he worked with was for them to make a living from the game at some level. It was a bonus if that could be with us but not realistic to think that was possible for many.

Who said should? I said I thought it could happen because that's a lot of money and there was supposedly reluctance about raising his wages - which I think is fine and shouldn't be a problem but who knows in football these days. I don't think Soucek should be sold at all.
I personally doubt they're really thinking about anyone coming in being a replacement for Kral when he wasn't really used at all.
Tuchel on Broja 6pm Las Vegas time (from Chelsea website)
"He had a little accident yesterday in training with ball control and landed in a funny way on his ankle and on his Achilles"
"So he's in pain but nothing major. We did all the examinations and it's just pain, and he's lucky that he did not get injured and we are lucky and happy that he did not injure himself. So he will not be in training today, he's in treatment."

If we are pre spending the Rice money then that makes good sense to me. The moment we get c.£100m in our pocket the price of all attempted purchases skyrockets.
Also, Rice may have a change of mind and stay so we will have spent the money and still kept him. 🤪

There are other guarantees around youth, in truth 95% of the time they don't seem to hit their potential
But I'm going ro be disappointed
Perkins was VERY highly rated within the academy and Alese seemed, behind Coventry and potentially Ahsby, the closest of the academy to the first XI
Good luck to him, hope we got some sort of future sell-on clause and/or buy back clause

Intriguing, but how old?
Perkins compensation will be via tribunal
I'd be surprised if was either, to be honest. Somewhere inbetween feels about right.
This was following reports that he will make his decision this week and wants to be training with his new club by next Friday at the latest.
Yikes.

30M Bro
34M Scam
So around 26M bid for Onana?
Jut did a quick google 'Onana West ham bids rejected) I saw 30M Euros as the second reject so that is around 26M pounds.
If he's supposed to be a 'midfield sensation' then I can understand 26M not being sensational temptation
