Broja not gone on Chelsea's US tour according to Jacob Steinberg, but he may join up later in the week. Whether that means they're leaving him behind on the understanding that a deal may be brokered, I obviously don't know, but can't see too many other reasons why he'd stay behind.
Maybe he’s not fully vaccinated. But in that case he would be able to join later in the week.
Two Chelsea players aren't going for that reason (Kante and RLC, I think), but Steinberg mentioned those separately. If Broja wasn't going for that reason I think he would have said as much.
I could be reading too much into it, but if it isn't vaccine related, I can't see why Chelsea would fly him out there separately for the sake of a few days if it wasn't in their interests (i.e. a potential £30m sale)
The resident KUMB ITK is hinting that we may be in talks with Ronaldo.
I mean, I don't believe it (wages reported to be £500k p/w for a start), but would we (as fans) actually want him? An incredible player, obviously, but doesn't he have assault allegations against him? And would he be a 'fit' for the dressing room where we don't seem to have many egos?
Edit: Of course, he could be talking about another Ronaldo.

So, putting to one side the fact that he wouldn't want to join us, and the fact that we could never afford him, let's do pros and cons.
Pros: - Would make the club a massive source of interested and bring in a huge amount of money commercially - Would show to players like Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen that we are an ambitious club with desire to win something and really progress - He's pretty much the best finisher of all time, and would absolutely score goals for us - A lot of the Man Utd players commented on how getting to see how he trained really impacted the way they worked too, as he is basically a model professional
Cons: - He completely destroys our wage structure, which could lead to a real imbalance. However, you could spin this as a potential positive in that it might lead players like Rice or Bowen to sign new deals if they see how they earn a 5th of what he does... Though that does lead to longer term financial risks... - We'd have to alter our system pretty significantly. We saw what happened when we had a striker that wasn't particularly mobile / willing to run the channels when we had Haller. Unless we adapted a successful system pretty significantly I can't see how he would for us. - OCS mentioned it earlier, but there are assault allegations against him that he's paid off. Personally, I come down pretty heavily on the "not in my club" side of the fence, though I am aware that many people will say that there are no active investigations and no convictions, so 'innocent until proven guilty is good enough'.
Personally, I think the cons outweigh the pros. There is something cool about the idea of seeing one of the best ever players in the history of the game playing for us, but for me it's not enough.
That said, even if I was absolutely gaga for the signing, it still wouldn't change the fact it's not happening!
Ronaldo Vieira is a DM. Ex-Leeds, currently not getting a game in Italy. We're supposedly in the market for another midfielder
Only 23 but he has been out injured a lot over the last two seasons; 3 months with hamstring/thigh problems (1 Nov 20 - 6 Feb 21) and 10 months with thigh problem (4 Mar 21 - 5 Jan 2022)
The only way we're taking him is on loan with an option to buy

Not this again!

But another Ronaldo
That was my original take, but then I thought about how much his ego (and wages) might impact the squad.
Edit - never been charged, and allegations recently dismissed.
( Not that I'd want him, but just clarifying, as I remember reading this a couple of weeks ago)

Dig a bit deeper and its from comments Alex Crook (???) made on talkSPORT's White and Jordan show
“I think Declan Rice will give West Ham one more year"
"I think there’s almost a gentleman agreement that he will do that"
"I expect him to leave next summer"
And that is how one man's opinion becomes a headline in a national newspaper
