I will be surprised to see Moyes here next season, unless it's in the away dug out... I know I am in perhaps a minority on here it seems, but hope I'm right.
I can't see any manager worth his salt or with any ambition coming anywhere near us. Those wanting Moyes out will be the first shouting if we are in a mess next season. Nobody seems capable of coming up with a suitable alternative who is likely to come in. We can't keep changing managers every six months and expect to get anywhere.
Thorn that might be your opinion and I accept that . ;ok While I thank Moyes for keeping us up, it's still a Cheers & good luck in your next position for me, wherever it may be. New ideas are needed IMO and I'm prepared to give someone else a chance... He is just so droll IMO and doesn't inspire me, guess that's not important obviously ... But as said earlier if the board want their man it's Rafa, so they need to do what is needed to get him.... Other options would be more riskier...
Got to be honest had I been asked I’d never of thought it was anywhere near that long!!
I had a look at the tables for the early weeks - because I think you have to disregard the first few weeks (say 6) as at that point teams are on the same points but whether they are in the bottom 3 is in some cases a matter of a single GD, or even just a matter of alphabetical order!
If you take the first 6 weeks, we were in the bottom three for 5 of them = 30 days. Take that off the 87 and it doesn't look so bad - perhaps why your recollection is of a much shorter period of being 'in trouble'. The table is pretty meaningless at that early stage and no-one really thinks of a club being 'in trouble' at that point.
Do you know they want Rafa. He reneged on his decision two years ago so knowing the way Sully's mind seems to work I'm sure he'd bear a grudge. I'm still fearful he will bandy names about that he knows he has no chance of getting and then say he did everything he could. A top manager would require a big budget and that's unlikely. If Moyes is leaving because he doesn't like the way the club is run then he obviously got nowhere in getting assurances to change things. A manager coming in in my opinion would either therefore not care about such things and would join for the money or is totally ignorant of what goes on. I also with the state we are currently in being a prime choice for a manager used to success.
Should it be true and he has left at least all parties can be quite happy. We stayed up and relegation would have been a disaster, Moyes has no doubt at least repaired if not quite fully restored his reputation which was pretty much in tatters after relegation last season, as well as he and his team receiving their bonus payments for keeping us up. No one can be left unsatisfied with that I feel.
When Sam left despite the Daves having targets it was around mid June that they eventually got the only person who wanted the job ie Slav. We simply can't afford to mess around like that this time.
Mike Ashley seems like a dream to work for compare to our lot
How? He’s as outspoken and farcical as our owners (if not more so) but spends less money.
He barely says a word, it’s the people he’s employed to run the club that have messed up time after time (makes him accountable) .....spends less money? He’s loaned them way more and doesn’t charge interest either. £129m

What’s their net spend this season? Without researching, it seems very low.
And he confirmed in an interview recently that there isn’t any more money to spend and he’s trying to sell the club.
Mike Ashley seems to always say he will back the manager at the end of each season and allow them to spend BIG but then does the opposite. Who else does that I wonder?
Not Sure Pellegrini will survive here. Doesn't seem to be the type of guy who would need to be ruthless in situations when needed. Seems very much like a "Yes Man".

Sully hasn't been heard of since the Burnley game so I don't see him bandying anything around to be honest.

From a rumours, yes I know it a rumours site, that I keep tabs on. ;ok
Shouldn't feel out of place with us then! ;lol

Don't say that too loud as that appears to be just the manager the two Davids and Karen Brady like.
