I don't think it suggests that necessarily. They might always have done that but he's just saying it's something he likes.

Possibly. Just sounded to me like it was something new ;ok
  • That’s what I thought, Which is why I posted it.
  • I just wonder how feasible it is to run training with the full senior squad and all the U23s... That's a lot of bodies. How many training pitches are there at Rush Green, and does he mean train 'with' us or 'alongside' us? ;hmm
  • I think there are 4 pitches at Rush Green and from the photos it looks like a joint training session for the most part.

    ;ok

I'm just not clear if this latest comment is announcing a totally separate thing (and a radical new approach) to the comment he made some days ago about some of the U23s training with the squad while a dozen or so seniors are injured or on international duty. And there were pictures of that, of course.

Edit: I see from the fuller article on the club site They’ve trained with us every day since I’ve been here because the numbers are down and we wanted to train with decent size numbers. The U23s have come up to Rush Green to train with us and I hope that’s the way it will stay.

I’ve been told about one or two and a couple of others have caught my eye. Really those young boys need to be given opportunities.

I'm none the wiser, really ;lol

'given opportunities' could mean anything ... doesn't necessarily mean he'll give them match time.

    Westlife have let themselves go
  • I think their combined age is still less than the age of the previous fitness coach.
  • I think that the first team fitness coach is very young. Isn't he the assistant manager of the Women's team?

I used to play club hockey, a friend (a defender) said in one match the other 3 members of the back 4 totalled over 200 ;nonono

They were still quicker than our current midfield ;lol
  • Vorse,
Was that a spelling mistake or was it deliberately singular ;biggrin

    "our new brain trust"

Miljenko Rak (born 1947) is a Croatian former long-jumper and fitness trainer. He has worked as the trainer for the Croatia national handball team and with Olympic gold medal winning skier, Janica Kostelić, and football manager, Slaven Bilic.
  • Ahhhhhhh.... No I see what the problem was! Rak got our hands fit but not our legs!
  • Please note. now Moyes is manager, that I left out any sexist girl talk out of my original posting as '#nice Rak' didnt seem appropriate ;run
  • Herb ;ok

    I was thinking of this

The winger has praised manager De Carnys, assistant – and first-team fitness coach – Josh Ewens

  • At least we have a management team who all speak English albeit after a fashion.
  • Can't see that makes any real difference, given the international make up of our (and most) PL squads.

What did you think Slav was speaking?
  • Towards the end.... Hyroglifics. ;wink
  • Braille looking at our defence this season
  • I see Man U are willing to let Fellini go on a free ..............

    NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo! ;weep
  • AdMe

I'd be really surprised if that were the case.

Moaninho frequently talks about how important Fellaini is to his squad/team.
  • OK

    I've seen the story now:

He is out of contract in the summer, and talks have stalled, but the report claims they do not intend to cash in on him in the Jan window, even if they lose him for nothing in the summer.
  • My comment about all speaking English was made tongue in cheek. I know Slav is multilingual but looking at our bench during matches it looked as if the rest of them were mute or didn't understand what was happening. Something was stopping any communication getting through.

Concentration and ability for some of them at the moment, along with positional ability
  • Mrs G ;ok

He appears to have gone missing on the updated staff list: -

    https://www.whufc.com/club/corporate-information/who-s-who ;ok

Mind, no mention of the fully integrated West Ham Ladies. ;hmm
  • Cuz, what does Braille sound like? ;biggrin
  • Possibly a bit scratchy.
  • Herb, the website's a mess (imho).

If you go to the 'Teams' tag, the Ladies team is there http://www.whufc.com/teams/ladies/squad
  • Saw that Mrs G but no mention under Who's - Who whereas the mens team are as well as under http://www.whufc.com/teams/staff
