In a troubled, uncertain world where we're not sure what makes sense and whats going to happen anymore.... It's always good to know you can rely on Brookingsirons for some good, old-fashioned, consistency of pessimism ;thumbsup
I enjoy a speculative discussion about prospects as much as anyone else but in truth, the transfer window is one of those times where actions speak far louder than words.
I for one, am happy that we are keeping fairly quiet as I see little upside in constantly talking to the press about intentions and wishes.
Come the end of the window, if in fact we have not added meaningfully to the squad and let a number of players leave, then the lack of action will certainly lead to a plethora of words, and rightly so
until then however........... I am going to stick to my original assertion that Giroud would be a great signing, so there ;wink
His dad allowing the manager to have the final say on transfers?
Absolutely. But he's done that loathsome fishing thing and left it there. No explanation offered. Just dangles some obviously bad news on social media and leave the fans second guessing.

Following on from last Jan, where Bilic was 'happy with his squad and it was his call to go with the forwards we had'.

Just when I thought they were all gonna stay silent.
Who the BBC are now saying is close to joining Leicester.
Another PR classic from those involved at the club. ;doh
C&H?
The BBC?

And me, to be honest. He must have realised what would have happened. Utterly unnecessary.
or, and I know this sounds really far out and crazy, he could have elected to just tweet nothing at all??..
Completely irresponsible, IMO.
Would it be possible to shut this one down and get Baz to open a new one in the hope reversing the fortunes and bringing some good karma?
I get that he's a fan - so if he is just tweeting as a fan, fair enough I suppose. He's allowed.
But If he's tweeting on the basis of his privileged position, and inside info as the owner's son, he should shut up.
You can't have it both ways.
Edit: I refer you to brookings' earlier post re twonks. ;wink
