  • Mooj, Grey, fair points.

    You're right Grey
my view is that Sam would be getting a lot more credit if he was still in charge,
is speculative. It's also opinion and perspective, two key ingredients of a discussion forum.

Mooj, on a discussion forum there will be a 'them and us' divide on all topics. I know full well that I agree with you all on some topics and disagree on others. I can come close to hating a user for their views and then on another topic they will say something that resonates with me and I couldn't agree more. This is all fundamental to a discussion. For the record, I agree with Luke's speculative statement, I think Sam would have got more credit, it's an opinion and it should matter.

My aggressively suppress comment was probably not fair though, I apologise for that. However, I probably could argue that this has happened on other threads, not necessarily by you. I went to find proof of an example of someone, not you, posting aggressively around this topic and that post has been altered. So I will assume that was addressed offline. I'm not going to continue looking for proof as I frankly don't have time to scour the boards so I will apologise for that one and move on.
  • Love this team, love the manager.

    ;scarf
  • ;hmm I'm not sure if that is you twist.... ;hmm

    #trustnoone
  • Ah yes, Mr Twist, before l can talk with you l will need to ask you a couple of security questions ;biggrin

Luke....there were a few comments about Bilics history with us, probably fair I supppse I mean he had a bit of form. He's also not stupid, he knew he had to get onside with the fans from day 1, he was well aware of his history with us and what his predecessor had done with his "comments".

But let's be honest the negative Bilic comments were so few and far between, in comparison to the unnamed one, where it was continuous for four years.

Anyway I'm just happy it worked out and I'll carry on backing every manager that comes to us, until they give me a solid reason not to.

    ;ok
  • Fair enough.

    Anyway...

Eski said recently could we finish top four. I said no, but aim for fifth.

    But...

When you look at our next group of games until March:
    Newcastle (a)
    City (h)
    Villa (h)
    Saints (a)
    Norwich (a)
    Sunderland (h)

    ;hmm
  • 15-16 points

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
  • Rav, Expat ;lol
  • 15-16 points

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Who do we want in the group stages?

    I'd like Malmo and Dortmund.
  • I like that Lukerz. A road trip to take on the 'Yellow Wall' would be magic.
  • Luke, honesty think we could. I don't expect to, but 4th is there for the taking if we want it enough.
  • I honestly thought top 4 would be too much, 6-8th was my prediction, however I'm now revising that to 5th or 6th and top 4 a very decent possibility.

Nobody in this league wants win it, it would seem
  • Slizzy

I know that is a commonplace saying this season, but for me it is the opposite:

no one is prepared to roll over and have their tummies tickled like they used to.

I think no one team can get away, because they would have to play at an almost impossibly high level to do so,given the more even nature of the teams in the PL this season.
  • I want it.

    Get yer boots on ;ok
  • Grey - spot on.

In the season where Stoke have Shaqiri, Palace have Cabaye, Bournemouth have Iturbe, Leicester have Mahrez, Everton have Lukaku etc...the league is so much more competitive.

And we have some bloke called Payet.
  • I know it's easy to get carried away, but I hope the squad believe anything is truly possible (ie a top 4 finish) - just like Atletico believed it was possible to disrupt the Real/Barca duopoly
  • Yeah baracks, that's what I've been trying to get at really. I don't think we'll get 4th, I wouldn't bet on it, I just really hope they realise it's there for them, I hope they think they're good enough. Obviously we'll never know the answer to this!
  • I think just like us every single one of those players wants top 4 and they will know that how things are going anything is possible this season.
  • This is brilliant ;clap

I've literally just been on the #belikebill page on fb

  • I like Slaven. He is a good Man. ;ok
  • Bet Slav never mentioned the sign for us and kiss your England chances goodbye bit

    ;whistle
  • That's great, but also part of his job
  • Yes, it is.

SB [a defender who played for his country] talking to you about areas of your defending which are good and those which can be improved on or RM [have you seen Everton defend this season?].
  • No I'll be honest I haven't seen EFC defend, at all this season.
  • "Slaven Bilic fires warning shot at West Ham owners about moving to the Olympic Stadium"

    express.co.uk/sport/football/641168/Slaven-Bilic-warning-West-Ham-owners-Olympic-Stadium

He really doesn't though, does he. Doesn't even reference the owners. I hate this kind of 'journalism'.
