Not sure if this has been brought up or confirmed but I have just spoken with a journalist friend of mine who personally spoke with Benitez. Terms were agreed and both parties were ready to go until Real came in 2 days before he was supposed to sign. I'm personally happy with Bilic but just thought i'd bring this up as an example of how the David's have been aiming high and are trying the best for the club.
