I asked because there were at least two active moderators on the thread.
It doesn't really have to do with who does or doesn't find things offensive.
I don't find swearing offensive, apart from in certain company, but am happy to see it banned on here.
We have always tried to get users to respond to posts, and not make personal digs at other users, and I hope that continues.
Luke, if you thought a comment was personal, then as a mod you should deal with it, or ask another mod to, regardless of whether it bothered you or not.
Well, in my case because it was the only thing in the post, which rather made it stick out, and because I don't see how it could be left without being challenged, if we are sticking to site policy.
Since Twist has apologised, and assured cuz there was nothing personal, I don't see that anything else needs to be done, but I do, personally, think that moderators should look out for that kind of thing, and not simply ignore it, or wait for someone else to be 'bovvered'.
Even though I commented not long after the post, it doesn't mean I 1) saw the Zzzzzz comment anx 2) had time af that exact moment to amend and PM, and I like to do both when modding, not edit then PM hours later.
Then twist apologised, so I left it but stil brought it up with the mod team for review.
I know that bothered levels have no impact on whether a post is modded.
I'm really not trying to 'get' at anyone, but as I put in the recent thread, I think we all of us need to make extra efforts to try to be considerate towards each other, and posts which could be considered 'personal' (regardless of actual intent) should be avoided.
Have done a bit of cleaning up on this thread. If your post seems different to what you posted, it's because I've edited it as a knock on effect of the initial moderation.
OCS - I think it says more for Ham's welfare when he posts a few thousand clown images during a discussion about modding and nobody bats an eyelid. ;biggrin

I was just curious why Twists was brought up and yet the other wasn't. ;hmm
As far as possible, I don't mod anymore.

Forget I said it. I'll delete twists post if I don't hear back from the other mods soon.
Which I stand by.

Grey - I had noted it.

;ok
Probably true on both counts, but that doesn't mean it didn't break site rules.
Just like we ask users not to post a ;doh at a comment, so we ask them not to make personal comments.
Hard to see Zzzzz as anything other than a suggestion that a post is 'boring', which is not on.

1) Twists post could suggest Cuz was "boring"? i.e sending him to sleep, same old
2) Cuz used a "lol" at the end to lighten up his post a little?
I'm not taking sides or anything......just saying.
You all do a great job IMO

It was more to do with what has been championed of later (rightly) to stop with the digs about the previous manager.
Cuz was basically expecting me to defend twist, almost as if we were both Sam OUT members. Well that's how I took it.
However if he'd said that to me................
;biggrin
But in reality he's probably having one last go at posting all his clown pics, before the wife deletes them and sends him for councilling
;biggrin
