  • Back on a football note I'm delighted that Arsenal have hijacked Spurs signing of Eze, not only to upset Spurs but also because really rate him and think he would have made them stronger, He and Kudus could do some real damage together.
  • I doubt Kudus would pass to him. 😁
  • Strange, I hope that is an indication of someone coming in. If not even stranger.
  • Romano says we've bid €20mil for As Monaco 21 year old CB/DM Soungoutou Magassa

Never heard of him but 21 and capable at playing as a DM or CB, while hes a big lad who has pace and power

    Sounds promising
  • Probably cant even get anyone now, who'd honestly want to come to us right now

We need 4 or 5 new players, most if not all need to be first XI signings
  • So I reckon we need two CMs, a striker, defender, winger & another keeper.

    Crack on.
  • And manager
  • And a new goalkeeper coach
  • And and and

Can we get a new stadium, while we’re at it?
  • ……And and Dec ( new centre halves??). 🤦‍♂️⚒

They would only play “howay” games, though.
  • If you look at the big difference from the Moyes side it's the centre backs. Declan Rice aside, which we could do nothing about. Kilman and Tobido are not good enough, certainly not without a more dominant figure alongside them. Zouma, Dawson, Ogbonna worked and never would we be losing so many headers.

JWP is not Premier league but would do a nice job for someone in the championship, so also a more energetic forward facing midfielder is needed.

    Probably us next year =)

He'll be League One level by then.
  • The sad truth is that after 20 PL and pre-season games there is no sign of even a mediocre improvement. He has failed to bring the best out of the squad available to him. OK it is a poor squad but his tactics have failed. The opposition put the ball behind wing-backs and they are in on the goal. Sunderland and Chelsea did that, as did other teams last season. He has no answers and is still wedded to 3-5-2. May be players don't understand or can't deliver his system, but he hasn't adjusted tactics to suit the squad and probably isn't capable of doing that.

I dread what Chris Wood and Forest would do in the next PL game. Another 5 goal thumping and player morale would be rock-bottom and probably not recover. Look for new manager but who would would want to manage a squad of dispirited players with the next transfer window not until January and even then there would probably be little or no money. Maybe take a punt on Mark Noble to be the next manager unless Nuno is looking for a job.
  • A very cold statement on Álvarez, which suggests to me there is some bad feeling from the club to him.
  • Just read it. That's really bad.
  • There have been articles recently (from aggregator sites so who knows if there’s anything in it) that say he had fallen out with Moyes, Lopetegui and Potter, so if that was the case, it might explain the statement.
  • What did Alvarez say?
  • Rumour has it GP can’t handle players who are combative & speak their minds, not accepting poor performances lightly, that is why Alvarez & Fullkrug aren’t his type of people. As someone said earlier London Derby last night & not one yellow card for us.
  • It’s hard for players to speak their minds, when they contribute so little themselves. Certainly that can be the case for Álvarez & Füllkrug.
  • @Lukerz, 😄. Who was getting the players up for the battle last night, at least Alvarez would have got stuck in & yes he would probably have been booked .

Not sure how true/accurate, but hey, we can live in hope, even though I know nothing about this player....

One of the problems we now have is we are not attractive and so may end up paying over the odds. I also don't know this guy, he could be a great targeted find, but we could end up in two years time finding we can't move him on because he is on a crazy wage for his ability. Sadly it's probably a gamble we have to take.

Rumours are Nottingham Forest have submitted a better bid for ⬆️, I am not referring to candbsky.
  • You don’t want to write anybody off yet, but Hermansen does not look like a reliable goalkeeper. Maybe Potter should have let him have a month to train & bed in but he looks incredibly poor & weak.

He did come from a RELEGATED side.

A slight reminder of the Paul Hilton signing.
