The third Test starts in the morning, with the pitch apparently having been prepared in a radical manner: big air fans, patio heaters, a bed of nails being dragged up and down it. Can't help feeling that a result one way or the other is almost guaranteed, with the toss ridiculously important as it was in the second Test; please, please, please let it be tails.
Duckett survives a very tough caught and bowled chance when he hammered the ball back low between the bowler's legs; the bowler got a hand to it but fortunately it didn't stick.
Pope has been given lbw and he reviews it; he's only scored 3 off 14 deliveries and has never looked comfortable. He's pretty plumb, and wastes the review. 70-2.
Rehan strikes again, although maybe somewhat fortunately, as both impact and hitting wicket are umpires call, and the decision was given onfield ๐. 155-6.
Pakistan reach 187-7 after an extended morning session due to Friday prayers. 4 wickets in the session, and Pakistan trial by 80. In what threatens to be a low scoring match, there's still a chance of a somewhat significant first innings lead, but equally Pakistan could easily reach parity so a potentially pivotal afternoon session to come after an extended lunch break.
Bashir unlucky not to get an lbw; not given onfield, England review, and, although it's hitting a fair bit of the bails, it's not quite enough and it's only umpires call.

I really hope we smash them in the third Test, this one leaves a very bad taste in the mouth.
