Here's another transfer conspiracy theory for you all:
Harry Maguire realised he'd made a mistake as soon as he went to Man Utd, and he wanted to come and play for West Ham. But he was so expensive that he knew he wouldn't be able to come here. So he hatched a plan, whereby he would try to reduce his transfer value with every passing game, to the point where West Ham could get a bargain. Once joining, he'll become a beast.
Alderz, I think that "conspiracy theory" juice has gone straight to your head. Besides, West Ham are not a big enough team according to him, allegedly.
According to Mike Verwiej of De Telegraaf Alvarez arrived back in Amsterdam this morning after a holiday in Mexico and will fly to London tonight. £34m and a 5-year contract

A donkey is a beast, so Maguire is already a beast before coming here.
He's shot atm, and a huge risk for any club to take that he'll ever get back to anything like his pre-Man Utd form. Not only has he been stripped of the captaincy and relegated to Man Utd's 6th choice CB behind 35yo Jonny Evans and LB Luke Shaw, he's still making mistake after mistake in pre-season. And he's best as a left sided CB where we have fewer worries atm. A loan without obligation is the only thing we should consider, and even then I'd rather we sign someone better.
Well, it's an awful recruitment strategy that all PL clubs have at one time or another adopted. If nobody sold a player until they had signed the replacement, the transfer windows would be much quieter periods.
And Cresswell,, the mess around this, WOW, while we are not privy to what is going on, for a player like him to all of a sudden to be in such a situation seems so avoidable… But we have to trust that they know what they are doing I suppose????? ⚒️

It's just the reality of the business.
The awful recruitment strategy I'm referring to is the buying of players that don't fit the manager's tactics.
It was evident very early on that Scamacca wasn't the Antonio-esque striker that Moyes spent 18 months looking for. And it should have been evident to our scouting team.
And 12 months later we sell him at a loss and have to start the process all over again.
Suggestions that we've bid £30m for Maguire. Absolutely disgraceful if we've done this, there just are no other words.
We nearly all want Sullivan gone, even without authorising this, but Moyes should be out of the door for putting this forward. I feel ill at the thought.

He must be well jet-lagged!

A footnote says that Cresswell's move to Wolves is off.
Also, very much in the Broja camp. He would be a great replacement for whichever of our strikers is leaving
And another example of our awful recruitment strategy.

I’ll do it.
