    And now, according to The Mirror, we've agreed a deal with Juve for Zakaria.

    Bearing in mind this deal has been reported to be close for weeks, I think this is probably another distraction piece from one of Sullivan's mates in the media.

    The Ward-Prowse one lasted about twenty minutes so they had to find another one 😄

    Who was the player we signed a couple of years ago with a similar course of events? News broke the deal was off & a few hours later news broke a deal had been agreed?

    No doubt similar tactics here.

    Borges off to Ajax
    Scamacca off to Inter Milan
    JWP in an advanced talks, followed by deal off
    £17m deal possibly agreed for Zakaria

    How about who other teams have lost rather then signed ,Just see Sheff utd have had to sell there 14 goal scorer Ndiaye ,Wolves have let a few go ,Fulham might loose mitrovic .sure there must be others ,so perhaps not so bad after all .............who am i kidding it is pretty bad

    A bit confused, actually. I kicked a ball around in the garden yesterday, and when I woke up this morning, I'd been signed to a Saudi Arabian club for €300,000 per week!

    Just a reminder:

    JWP - bid rejected (around £17m-£25m)
    Palhinha - bid rejected (around £45m)
    Borges - bid accepted (around £14m), deal hijacked by Ajax
    Maguire - bid rejected (around £20m)
    Gallagher - bid rejected (around £40-£45m)
    McTominay - (rumoured) bid rejected (around £40m)
    Zakaria - in talks for a loan with option/obligation to buy, yet to be agreed

    So the idea that the club is not doing anything to bring in new players is wrong. The club is clearly busy & actively trying to get deals done.
