  • Oh sorry thought that last bit implied we'd made a move
  • We may have done. I probably didn't word it particularly well.

I think we will, possibly have, but if we're up against Newcastle we could have a problem.
  • AC Milan have offered Belgian forward Divock Origi as part of a deal with West Ham for Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca, a report claims.
As has been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio for Sky Sport. Milan are pushing ahead in their efforts to sign a striker and are trying to bring Scamacca back to Serie A.

He has spent one season in the Premier League which was not as successful as he would have liked, and now a return to Serie A is very probable.
AS Roma are also very keen, but Milan have made an offer which would see Origi head back to the Premier League after his poor first season with Milan.
Origi is open to leaving and Milan would like to sell him, so it seems a logical move if West Ham want the former Liverpool man.
It is not known what sort of fee Milan have offered along with Origi.
  • Yep just reported Newcastle are leading the race for Barnes. Brilliant.
  • To bad ,But not a surprise we do seem to mess about on these things
  • Origi - No!
  • Juventus will hold new talks with Premier League club over Zakaria today
    by C Scott20 minutes ago
Juventus has dispatched representatives to London to engage in discussions with West Ham regarding the potential transfer of Denis Zakaria. The Italian club is actively involved in conducting business with Premier League clubs during this transfer window, aiming to offload surplus players and secure new signings.
Zakaria, a Swiss international, had an unsuccessful loan spell at Chelsea last season, but West Ham has reportedly shown interest in acquiring him for their squad. A report from Football Italia states that representatives from both clubs will convene today to negotiate a possible transfer for the midfielder.
Juventus is hopeful of reaching an agreement with their English counterparts, as it would enable them to remove Zakaria from their roster. The outcome of the meeting will determine whether Juventus can proceed with the knowledge that Zakaria will no longer be part of their squad.
  • Also says Spurs and Villa are in for Barnes along with Newcastle. The only way we can get him is to offer over the odds fee and wages IMO.

I do think that Hudson Odoi would be a much cheaper option and I also think he has a lot of potential too. So wouldn't be upset to have him competing on the left side. He can also play wing back and on the right side too. So not too shabby
  • La Gazzetta dello Sport reckons Juventus want €20m (£17m) for Zakaria

Gianluca Di Marzo (Sky Sports Italy) reckons the asking price is €25m (£21m), we've made an offer of €18m (£15m) but that we'll reach a compromise next week

Tuttomercatoweb say Arsenal want £25m for Nuno Tavares with Galatasaray also interested but allegedly he doesn't fancy a move to West Ham or Galatasaray as he wants to move to a bigger club (un club più importante)

I read something the other day that he had chosen us over Newcastle and Villa, but the Spurs link is a new one to me.
  • ‘Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United want to sign the 25-year-old. Barnes is set to ‘snub’ the Magpies and Spurs for West Ham; a transfer is reportedly ‘close’.’

If that's the case (and who knows if it is because rav HASN'T INCLUDED A SOURCE smh) then I can only imagine we've said he'll get a lot more game time than the others. Realistically, is he going to displace Son? Or Isak?

    Oooh, where's this from Ravster?
  • I read it somewhere to. Was last week somewhere

It's from the Express and Rav's line is from a Leicester blog.
  • You’re all overthinking it. Barnes wants West Ham because we are massive and the others are not massive.
  • I made it up 😬
  • Aston Villa and West Ham as well as Spurs have been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old this summer, but it seems that there is now a frontrunner for his signature.

According to the Guardian , Newcastle are ‘leading the race’ to sign the winger. Eddie Howe is keen to sign a new left-winger with Barnes becoming a target

  • Tuttosport: Pressure dialled up on Roma as Milan push for Scamacca - the situation
    by Oliver Fisher1 minute ago
One of the big issues that AC Milan must address this summer is the signing of a new centre-forward, and Gianluca Scamacca’s name is gaining momentum.
According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan are active on various fronts such as the midfield which needs to be rebuilt after Sandro Tonali’s exit and with Ismael Bennacer injured.

However, a new striker to help Olivier Giroud is of paramount importance and Scamacca is a name on the list. There is strong competition from Roma – the club and the city he grew up in – but the Rossoneri have revived their interest in the last few hours.
The Rossoneri management have even offered Divock Origi to West Ham in an exchange deal of sorts. The Belgian forward was disappointing in his first season with and could be used as a counterpart, with several admirers in the Premier League.
It is no mystery that Scamacca would prefer to return ‘home’ to Roma, but it is also true that he has requested a solution soon and this could help Milan, with the Giallorossi in need of liquidity to relaunch.
Meanwhile, the path that leads to Boulaye Dia should not be underestimated either. The Senegalese striker scored 16 goals for Salernitana last season and has a clause of €25m until July 20. His agents say Milan and Fiorentina have come forward.

He provides a link to an Express article from Monday which states that "Harvey Barnes is reportedly set to snub Newcastle and Tottenham" and that "David Moyes' side in pole position to land the winger ahead of their Premier League rivals".

The Express in turn has a link to a 90mins article from last Friday which says that "West Ham United are advancing talks with Leicester City over the signing of winger Harvey Barnes"

  • West Ham interested in Torino defender Schuurs - Sky in Italy
West Ham are interested in Torino central defender Perr Schuurs, according to Sky in Italy.
Schuurs’ contract is up in 2026 with the option of a further year.
    The 23-year-old has played for Netherlands at U19, U20 & U21 level.

Haven't we had players who have played for England at U19, U20 & U21 level but never made it to the PL?
Why should Schuurs be any better?

Only two teams in the Women’s Super League haven’t signed any new players. One of them is Tottenham, the other one still doesn’t even have a manager in place, guess who it is? 😞
  • West Ham are weighing up a move for Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria. The Hammers could initially take the 26-year-old Switzerland international on loan with an option to buy for £15.4m. (Guardian)

The Hammers are also interested in Fulham's Portuguese enforcer Joao Palhinha, 27, and Southampton and England's 28-year-old set piece specialist James Ward-Prowse. (Guardian)
  • The Zakaria deal sounds good
  • The Zakaria deal sounds good

But does anyone know if he’s any good?
    I haven’t a clue 🤔
  • He was good enough for Juv to pick him up from Germany and for Chelsea to see him as a DM. He's also a good age with decent experience. For the money quoted I think hes definitely worth bringing in (as opposed to the Ajaz and Fulham guys who would be way more expensive). I think its in our favor he was stop n start on the Chelsea loan
  • Is Lamptey worth a cheeky bid? He's out of favour as his injury record isnt great. However, he's very quick and dangerous and even with the injury record (which could easily be behind him) he'd be an upgrade offensively down the right side. I don't see why Brighton could justify asking much. Would rather have Livramento or Walker Peters but...
