  • West Ham are among a number of clubs looking at highly rated winger Dario Osorio, 19, who plays in South America for Universidad de Chile. (Sun)
  • Left winger, apparently. Same as Benrahma, Cornet and Barnes, so I'd be surprised if we were interested. Though I think I read that Leicester were also interested, so if we did go for him, maybe then loan him to Leicester as a makeweight in any Barnes deal 🤷‍♂️
  • Why would you be surprised OCS? It's mentioned a lot on this forum that the hope is we have multiple targets for a position so should the first fail we are prepared for the next on the list. Maybe Barnes is our first choice and Osorio is our second or third choice so we should have an interest.
  • I mean…

  • West Ham have made a formal approach for Leeds United's 24-year-old America midfielder Tyler Adams. (Yorkshire Evening Post)
  • Teamtalk reports that Armando Broja wants to leave Chelsea now they have signed Nicolas Jackson with West Ham, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Burnley all interested

Still only 21 and would count as a "homegrown"
  • It feels like ages ago that we were trying to get him. Only one season but three managers have passed.
  • Various sources say he'll be back from the cruciate ligament injury for pre-season training
  • On his insta stories over the weekend he posted a pic of Stamford Bridge with the caption;

    🔵!!

  • Are we having a game of what the emoji meant?
  • Why not

He was letting his neighbours know it’s blue bins this week 👍🏻

He was getting ready to watch Eiffel 65 perform at the bridge?
  • Elon Musk has just followed him.
  • Its the blokes view from when he jumped off the Red Bull balloon. Mr Baumgartner is his name.
  • Corriere Dello Sport claim we've made a loan offer for Denis Zakaria
  • Good hope he does
  • With Barnes and Bowen might just work .Need to get Barnes in first of course
  • It was working before Paqueta did his shoulder in October. I think Paqueta right behind Scamacca, with Bowen and another winger buzzing around him, we see the a very different attacking approach.
  • I really think Scamacca has exactly what we have looked for in a striker. If his head is in the right place and he wants to play for us I would definitely refuse all offers.

I would love Barnes to sign for us but also to keep Benni. I think Benni gives something and if he got the last part of his game together he would be unplayable, he could be a Zaha for us. We also need his penalties as my heart couldn't take Paquetta's little tip toe start stop penalty each time.
  • West Ham club shop should do a claret and blue defibrillator. I bet they’d sell loads.
  • This is probably crazy but I'd like to see

    --Paqueta---New DM---
    Bowen-Benrahma--Barnes
    ------Scamacca-------
  • Outcast, Pictures David Moyes sitting in a darkened room for days!

Yeah, that's crazy. I like the idea of Paqueta in CM, but that midfield will be absolutely run over.
  • We can do it. We just need to find the next Kante.

If it's true that we're looking at pure DMs like Palhinha and Alvarez, then I'm assuming Moyes is looking at playing 4-1-4-1 rather than 4-3-3.

    For arguments sake:

    GK
    Coufal Zouma Aguerd Emerson
    Palhinha
    Bowen Paqueta Scott Barnes
    Scamacca

Personally I don't see him dropping Soucek, but I think, as with Paqueta, he'll want some graft from whoever plays centrally, and I don't think Benrahma ticks that box for him.
  • There's still rumours that Soucek might be off - I think it's unlikely, personally - but it's possible that we are preparing for life without him.

I love the idea of a 4-1-4-1 / 4-3-3. I think it would suit Scamacca a lot more to have two advanced CMs behind him.
