I would much rather sell Anderson than Diangara, he is incredibly talented but has just had a whole season to show it and is clearly not a fit for us. His wages are probably four times what Diangara earns also which must help.
Just reading about Tomiyasu, and I like the sound of him.
As ASLEF said, he's been playing right back in Italy so far, but for most of his career he's played at centre half. He also has played DM before, and apparently is on record as idolising one time Hayden Mullins understudy Javier Mascherano.
Like most of us I don’t profess to know the ins and outs of the clubs finances but there might be a few clues. Not paying the Haller instalments and then yesterday the news that the premier league has cancelled a £800 m deal with China.Add to that the financial devastation of Covid and it may well be we are in a worse situation than we thought which would in turn see the reason why we are selling the likes of Diangana. Just a thought.
Well some reports at the start of the window that there was a £70mil "hole" in the clubs books
Think that the club were expecting to make a £30mil loss this season, similar to how we performed in the 18/19 season (£28mil loss), at the start of last season because of the investment into new players and outstanding installments for Anderson etc, before COVID was a thing
Then I think the report stated we were set to lose an additonal £40mil due to COVID and finishing lower than last year
Given revenues are likely going to be lower this year (compared to a normal season) as we will still feel the effects from COVID, chances are even if we have a net spend of zero this year we still might make a loss (we made a profit of £20mil excluding player sales/incomes in 18/19)
Still dont think we are alone. Apart from the teams recently promoted, who know they will have a £90mil windfall from the TV money, there hasnt been a lot of movement for the mid table clubs (and everton who always spend millions upon millions somehow)
baracks, can't see why he wouldn't have wanted to join us as we are going to be challenging for a Champions League spot just ask GSB & they would have been negotiating with him.

The first thing that flashed through my mind when reading it was: But it's probably not that... is it...?
Edit: I say ages but that's because these last few days have been so sad they feel like forever.
At least it gets his wages off our books.

West Ham: Don't forget we have Xande Silva, too.
Concerned fans: We have no depth at centre back. An injury to Ogbonna or Diop and we're in trouble.
West Ham: We signed Cardoso for cover a couple of seasons back; we're fine.
Concerned fans: Selling Diangana leaves us light on the wing. And he was an Academy graduate.
West Ham: We still have Nathan Holland. He was considered to be better than Grady before he got injured.
Concerned fans: OK, maybe things won't be too bad.
Also West Ham:
Possible loans for Holland, Silva and Cardoso according to this

Sorry, misread that. He's free to leave.
Bubbles, Malang Sarr was available on a free but we didn't go for him and he is several years younger than Danny Rose.
And I suspect the board know that. Prime 'We tried' candidate.
This club is dead.
