  • In theory we have a plethora, in reality we didn’t use Lanzini and Anderson during our most crucial games of the season. Yarmolenko has never been more than an effective sub. Apart from all the other problems about selling an academy graduate like this, there’s a high chance we’re just creating another problem for January.

  • BAGGIES MEDICAL FOR DIANGANA

West Ham forward Grady Diangana expected to have a medical at West Brom on Friday.

Diangana has agreed terms on a five year contract at The Hawthorns ahead of a deal worth £18m.

There is work still to be done before the transfer is finalised, while three other clubs – including Fulham – remain interested in the player.
  • I am also sad
  • I'm numb to it now, deflated before we have even got a chance to go on a run of losses
  • I am sad as well.

Can't remember the last time I felt this sad about West Ham

It’s hard to stomach the Diang news but we do have to be realistic here. Facts are, the owners can’t finance us, Moyes needs to raise his own pocket money & we have a plethora of attacking options.

We can only sell somebody if there is a buyer. All very well saying ‘flog Lanzini/Anderson’ but nobody wants them & Moyes has just over a week before the season starts.

    We can’t wait forever.

If selling Diangana means we bring in a striker and a left back, then fair enough. But if it doesn’t, it’s a huge waste of time. If they sign Benrahma then I will be even more confused and annoyed than I am now.
  • Maybe Jack did well on FIFA so we re basing our activity on that, seems as clued in as his father
  • West Ham Women have signed Rachel Daly... on loan...
  • Aslef - if you have a couple of matching armchairs to go with the sofa I could come up with a sweet deal.
  • Seen a few reports claiming that we are after Japan left back Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna, and will be using the Grady funds to bid
  • If Diang and Rice are not with us next season, I will not forgive our owners irrespective of how much they are sold for.

The report I read say he's a right back.
  • Now Ex is sharing reports that Arsenal want Felipe Anderson and I want to officially request a 48-hour freeze on the swearing ban.

    Definitely a RB

That can play CB and DM. I saw a very positive article on him yesterday, but have never heard or seen anything of him so can't comment.

Loaning Anderson to Arsenal makes zero sense. But then neither does selling one of our best prospects to a relegation rival, so I wouldn't put it past our owners.
  • Didn’t his current club pay Eur9m for him a year ago? He has supposedly had a good season and is well thought of. So unless Bologna adopt Sully’s hugely successful policy of selling for less than purchase price, I would be imagine he would cost a significant amount of money (that we don’t have)

One I read just said fullback, and the other one said left back, but it was from a rubbish website so I’m sure it was wrong if other people say RB
  • GSB OUT.

    Next Level. Next Lies.
  • WhoScored have him listed as playing 25 out of 29 as right back. Not great news for Johnson.
  • Johnson may play left back.
  • This is Moyes' chance to mould the team he wants. Even with a small transfer kitty he must have players on his radar that he would like. He must know where we are weak.
  • It would be very us to see that we have a gaping hole at left back and then use an unproven 20 year old right back to fill it, while spending £16m on a right back to replace the unproven 20 year old.
  • Might be likely

As I said before, Johnson is still just a young player who has only had 3 prem appearances

Would prefer him to play in his natural position....which I always assumed was RB

But would I prefer Johnson at LB over Cresswell or Masuaku...yea probably
  • My Arsenal supporting brother has just text me a SkySports story saying that we have offered Anderson to Arsenal on loan for £5m

Ah, ok, so that's the Haller payment
  • Looks like another relegation fight this season as the team, so far, looks worse than
last season, but we just managed to stay up by the skin of our teeth.
We need to strengthen in defense, otherwise I think we are likely to be playing in the
    Championship next season.

So who would be our left winger?

A deal that would make zero sense

    So probably true
