    If Pearce spent the entire game coaching Masuaku then we wouldn’t need a left back. ‘Wake up’ ‘look behind you’ ‘kick it out’ etc for 90 mins and we would have a real gem on our hands. Quite like to see more of him on the left wing also this season.

    I have absolutely no intention selling my sofa. I transferred it to my front room from Ikea in 2018 on a 5-year contract although there is a £1000 buyout clause...

    I’m probably at about £300-£350 which at least is significantly more than the £100 offered by Alderz

    I need to also factor in the £50 I need to pay to Diamantis for brokering the deal

    Sorry but unless the sofa puts in a transfer request then it is going to be part of my plans for the foreseeable future. It has been a key part of my pre-season, I've been off work since the Sunday before last and have spent most of it on the sofa.

    So our transfer policy is we have 7 wingers
    - so need to sell one who doesn’t want to leave, is in manager’s plans, has played in Premier League, for £12m-£18m
    - to buy a championship winger, for £20m
    I now know how our owners made all their money. Makes so much sense!

    It’s hard to stomach the Diang news but we do have to be realistic here. Facts are, the owners can’t finance us, Moyes needs to raise his own pocket money & we have a plethora of attacking options.

    We can only sell somebody if there is a buyer. All very well saying ‘flog Lanzini/Anderson’ but nobody wants them & Moyes has just over a week before the season starts.

    We can’t wait forever.
