In normal seasons the losing playoff finalist Generally receives the gate money but as there won’t be any I wonder If there is some form of payout planned.

I see that clubs still in European football will not start on 12 September but will be staggered dependent upon when they finish their campaign. Actual details will not be known until the end of the month. Of course unless the fixtures pan out that those clubs only play each other for a while it obviously means that for a lot of other clubs their season won’t start on 12 Sept or will start but then have blank weeks.

IronHerb · August 2020

Does this mean we won't face a top six side first game, or am I just being foolish?

whupathman · August 2020

Football summed up by Arsenal, we must keep our best player please sign for £250k per week. Arsenal we need to make 55 staff redundant due to the cost of Covid. Probably to save less than one weeks salary.

Antonio PL player of the month and Soucek Czech player of the season.

thornburyiron · August 2020

It’s possible that Antonio will stand as the only ever PL Player of the month for July.

Moyes has done an interview with the Standard

"It can’t happen overnight. You can have a good year and then a bad one, but if you’re continually going to chop and change, that will always happen. Anyone who knows anything about football would surely say, ‘This is a club that could do with a period of stability.’”

I've just seen a bit of today's cricket and some of the Pakistan players have jumpers on!!

alderz · August 2020

According to a thread I just saw on Instagram about penalties in the 21st century, Mark Noble is the second best penalty taker this century. 90.5% success rate 38/42. Only Lewandowski has a better record.

Pearces_Left_Foot · August 2020

Ex says Stuart Pearce has rejoined the coaching staff.

Fortuneseeker · August 2020

An ITK on Bristol City is reported to have said they aren't interested in Nevin from our coaching team. Maybe Nolan is going to go to Bolton & Pearce will replace him?

OldCastleSwift · August 2020

https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/august/17-august/stuart-pearce-join-kevin-nolan-and-paul-nevin-david-moyes

Both have signed new contracts, and Stuart Pearce has come back.

That's the backroom team sorted. Now for some new players...

Lukerz · August 2020

I see Alan Irvine is there too?

He wasn’t there last season, was he?

Greek police have set Harry Maguire's bail at €5000. Man Utd have offered €3000 plus Phil Jones

yoyo · August 2020

More information has been released by Greek police over the Harry Maguire affair. Yanis Acropolos the 24 stone 63 year old policeman has said " The accused had a 60 metre head start on me when he started to run. Obviously I had no problem catching him up to apprehend him "

Expat_Hammer · August 2020

Apparently he said to the police "Do you know who I am"

Yes, of course I do replied sergeant Stavros Popodoulis unbuttoning his shirt to reveal his Man City away shirt.

Word is that some Albanian gangster tried chatting up his sister and when she turned him down he stabbed her in the arm with a metal straw. When Maguire defended his sister Greek plain clothes police intervened.

Tif that is the case then more power to him

Never let facts get in the way of having a dig at Man Utd imo

IronHerb · August 2020

Why 'allegedly' fight with the police when there's an 'alleged ready made gangster available?

IronHerb · August 2020

Jessie Lingard not in the England squad. How can that be?

IronHerb · August 2020

So Maguire found guilty. Hang I'm I say, hang him.

IronHerb said:

He had to make way for the Albanian gangster that Harry bribed

baracks_a_hammer · August 2020

His defence has once again been found to be wanting

BubblesNeverDies · August 2020

Who'd'a thunk it, a gangster from Albania

Not many of them about.
