  • Nothing wrong with Woolwich (well, there is lots, actually) but I liked living and working there.
  • MrsG - I could have suggested the other team whose name begins and ends with M. ;biggrin
  • But then you'd have been modded .....

Suze, no offence, you can support who you want - I mean, look at all the Manure fans in Surrey - but isn't Charlton your local team? ;wink

I am from Romford Essex and support West Ham because that’s what my dad said I must do.

Charlton is my local club now as I moved through the Blackwall tunnel for love 15 years ago. I have a soft spot for them as they had done good works in the local community.
  • I'm still trying to work out which local team starts and ends with M ;hmm
  • Mertsham play in the Ismithan League ;hmm
  • IH, you can not be serious (in a McEnro stylely voice ;biggrin)

I like it too. A lot actually.
  • I'm serious. Mitcham is too far away as is Mertsham. ;puzzled
  • I've been looking forward to this coffee I just made, and it's too hot to drink :-(
  • You need a splash of milk in it ;ok
  • It's alright, it's cooled down now. Thanks, though.
  • Herb, I'll whisper it, "mi____um" ;biggrin

Sorry, but Surrey is a Chelsea stronghold these days, we're moving up market ;lol

  • ;lol

Peter Crouch: "It was before the 2007 UCL final. We went Go-Karting. We were going round the track and I flew into the pits but there were no breaks. I was driving straight towards Kuyt and Alonso and thought to myself who was more valuable? So I swerved into Kuyt!"

I like Crouch, it was few years ago but I recall when he was on a talk show and he was asked what he would have been had he not been a footballer, he replied “single”

    Well it made me laugh
    ;lol
  • Chicago, I also find that very funny, cheered me up that has ;ok ;lol
  • Vorse, it was Mrs Merton to Debbie McGee ;ok

    Great moment ;lol
  • Also:

To Victoria Beckham "So is Brooklyn going to be a footballer like his dad, or a singer, like Mariah Carey"

    ;lol
  • Sasha Baron Cohen ;bowdown
  • Chicago his actual words were “a virgin”

I’ve booked the day off and the two days before to give me plenty of preparation time to savour the experience
  • baracks,

Just the 3 days I thought most people were booking the week off!
  • It was a fair time ago but I used to roar with laughter when watching 'Mrs Merton' I enjoy Sacha a lot too.

I know there's bias there but Brit comedy is just better than everywhere else. I am in a bit of a time warp because I have been abroad so long but whether its Blackadder, One foot in the grave, Bottom, The Vicar of Dibley, AbFab etc we're just better at it

  • Indeed we were, Dads Army, Yes Minister, Porridge, After all hours, Allo Allo, Last of the summer wine, Are you being served and let us not forget, Only Fools..the list really does go on and on

Unfortunately the list also includes Mrs Browns Boys, I get that many people really like the show and that is fine, however, IMO it does not have the wit and polish of the shows I grew up with.

Generally speaking, yes we are pretty good at that kind of stuff.
