  • God Save the Queen.

    I am a royalist.

  • No one ever goes to Germany to look at Angela Merkels house...
Oh. So that's just me, then... ;puzzled
  • Well, there's always one. ;whistle
  • Turkey turned an old Ottoman palace into a massive museum. Reckon they make more money out of that then people standing outside it.
  • Just to be clear I am also a royalist, however the way the press over here is overplaying Megan, just might be enough to make me change my tune.

I have to wish them both all the very best, however, Harry, why oh why did you have to hook up with an American, ;weep
  • Rich bloke proposes to long-term actress girlfriend. Girlfriend says yes.

Apparently this is of interest to millions of people.

Who have never met either of them.

    And never will.

Mrs G - 12m people watch a bunch of people they've never met dancing foxtrots and tangos on Saturday nights, the same number watch a bunch of people they've never met sitting in a jungle eating kangaroo's testicles and every other weekend about 56000 people go to Stratford to watch 11 men that most of them have never met round around and fail to play football.

Even stranger some of them go online and complain about it afterwards.

    People are odd.......
  • Maybe the defenders should go on strictly come dancing then be the closest they have been all season
  • Aslef - ;lol ;clap

I've been to Beethoven's house in Bonn and James Ensor's house in Ostend, in music and art they're royalty - does that count?
Oh, and of course, Monet's gardens with my dear departed Mum.

Yes. I may sound callous but I could never understand those who were in tears when Diana passed and who were flocking to sign the book of condolences and lining the roads to see her funeral procession pass
  • I’m a Royalist. God save the Queen. If there even is a God. But there is definately a Queen cos she’s on the stamps.
Good luck Harry and Meghan. You are going to need it. It’s tough out there.
  • Off to Whitechapel to deliver first aid for laboratory workers to Malta via Skype.

  • Did you see the Yorkshire national team thing?
  • what's that ?
  • My phone is being weird and won’t let me paste the link, but there is a story on BBC about Yorkshire launching a national team
  • http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/42187205

Gonna have a Yorkshire international team to compete in the 'non-Fifa' competitions.
  • My work has announced they are closing our final salary pension scheme today. I am lucky to be in it and I had years of little in way of pay rises as they kept telling me how good the pension scheme is. Needless to say it has not gone down well as they announced they are spending a 150 millions euros on IT on the same day aswell as announcing profits of 538 million so far this year .
  • That’s one of the reasons I left a senioanager role at Morrisons stopped me for 7 years getting a pay rise whilst announcing buying smaller shops at a loss which they sold on to monarch airways owner at a bigger loss you couldn’t make it up shifted pensions over and even gave pay rise to shop floor staff to a pound plus on minimum wage then stopped premium payments for Sunday’s which then meant the majority opted out of Sunday working
  • Dee/PLF/Cuz ;angry And I notice Theresa May has quietly shelved her manifesto promise to have worker representation on Boards.

But in some good news http://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2017/december/05-december/west-ham-united-become-accredited-london-living-wage-payer#A0AQYpHwP4ukLVRD.99
  • Anyone tried changing the bulb on a halogen oven?

Top tip - if it falls to you to attempt this, buy a ceramic connector and snip the old bulb wires and attach to the new bulb wires, rather than take the entire thing to pieces just to access where the wires sit.

    What a palaver.

I am 80% sure that when I get a bulb to fit, the bloomin' thing won't work. ;weep
  • Grey, it failed on our old oven - I bought my wife a torch. ;biggrin
  • I noted on Skysports (when looking at the one game from a ban article) that they've either forgotten we are in the Premier league or practicing for when we aren't ;whistle
