Paper talk this morning is that the Hart deal is nearly done, with Citeh paying half his wages, and a permanent option at the end of the year, possibly for £10m.
Of course they're trying to do this, but I'm happier they've got our biggest issue sorted before signing strikers to keep certain sections of fans happy.
We could have Ronaldo up front but if our defensive organisation is as shambolic as it was last season it won't make much difference.
I'm pretty happy with the Hart deal if it is indeed 50% wages and a loan deal with the option to buy
What I am a bit annoyed at is the insistence on buying players ONLY for right now
I mean I understand.....but you can argue that our 3 most successful signings last year were Masuaka (22), Fernandes (20) and Fletcher (20) as well as signing the highly rated Quina and Martinez
Think we need to find the right balance between first teamers and exciting prospects as younger players if anything present the possibility of profit from sales in the future
Champo - I suppose they think that we are well stocked with 'prospects' after the last summer transfer window? I do concur with them, actually, that our priority now HAS to be to sign players who will improve the first XI.

Searching the FA rule book for the rule that says no one is able to haggle with Spurs and are duty bound to pay any figure requested.
£45 million for Walker........ I ask you !
Well, Keane went to Everton for £30m.
#crazyprices
Man City have spent about £123m so far, including £35m on a GK. Which is twice what they spent on buying one the year before (that was Claudio Bravo, at £17m)
You can get Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny and Little Jimmy too these days for way less than £30m. Marie might even put in an appearance too. Given a choice between the two options I'd probably just ... save my money.
Whilst I agree, the prices these days seem crazy, and there seems to be no peak to the levels that could be achieved, the market dictates the prices. Kyle walker, £45m, if Citeh pay it, then that's what he's worth ;doh

"These days people know the price of everything and the value of nothing."
14-15 - Samuelsen, Dobson, Henry (released), Hendrie (released)
15-16 Makasi, Martinez
16-17 Fletcher, Fernandes, Holland, Quina
Plus a good few pushing from our own youth set up.
Can't say the club aren't looking to the future.
Doniel Henry still has a year left on his contract, he was on loan at AC Horsens in Denmark this season until he tore a knee ligament in November, no idea when he's due to resume training

(Hart not done yet)
Still no strikers signed.
Excellent job so far?
;hmm

It sounds like an excellent deal, but there is no way to know if that IS the deal.

And Lanzini signed then, aged 22.

One of Wilde's, I think.
The Walker money is nuts though, he's not even as good as Trippier imo. Spurs robbing clubs blind, again.
