Unfortunately, gut instinct tells me that a loss against Swansea and Bilic will be sacked. I have no clue who would then be in charge though if this was the case.
I go back to the fact that the Dave's have basically never sacked a manager during the season. They don't like to do it, and I really can't see that they will do it this season. There is nobody who leaps out as being a far better option, we don't have a ready made replacement in an assistant manager or youth coach like some of the other clubs.
They didn't sack Grant until relegation was already confirmed. They didn't sack Zola til after the season, even though they clearly wanted rid of him.
For me, if we stay up Slav will be here til the end of next season at least. If we go down, he will be here until we are officially relegated.
Which would be laughable because we have so many average players.
I still can't quite believe we paid Hull real money for Robert Snodgrass. Wouldn't have given them a bag of skittles for him
Slightly concerning that Bilic, in his recent press conference, seems to imply that egos have been playing a part of late in the dressing room.
I read it that Slaven was just emphasising how big the game is, and everyone is going to have to put everything on the line to get a result, so it doesnt matter what you've done previously the only thing that matters is giving everything in a big game to get the result. probably open to debate, apples and oranges, etc, etc!
I took it to be a warning NOT to let that sort of thinking creep in.
Based on.
“We have to put everything we have on the line,” Bilic said. “We have to forget about egos, about who is taking corners, forget about who is going to start the game, forget about who is going to score the goals. We have to leave our egos in our beds and be as one. I am not saying we weren’t before – but now more than ever.”

^This^.
I would not class many even as that, nor even adequate. If they were we would have a few more point under our belts and not be worried about relegation. It's not just a managerial problem, we bought poorly (quantity over quality) last summer - I just hope the owners are a bit less forthcoming about our targets and what they are willing to spend this time so we can get a better quality player - assuming we stay up of course.
“I said before the game that it’s a weird one because I don’t see why in football the managers get so much stick sometimes when the players need to take responsibility," he observed. "I said that to the boys, you know.
“A lot of our boys have played in the Premier League for a long time so we needed to take responsibility, step up to the plate, perform and take a bit of pressure off the gaffer himself. Hopefully three points has done that.
“It is easy to hide behind the manager and I’ve been at clubs before where the manager has taken a lot of stick when the players aren’t performing. Personally, I am big enough to come out and say maybe I haven’t played well enough, and we needed to look at ourselves and hopefully we’ve done that.
“Everyone here loves the gaffer, he’s such a great guy and a great coach and his staff with him, and we were disappointed with the stick he was getting when it was us on the pitch performing.
Really not sure what's going on with Slav some v strange decisions the Antonio right back experiment , weird subs, picking out of form players and we keep throwing away points . I know our recruitment was poor but he was involved in it , injuries fair enough but motivation and tactics are down to him . I'm feeling less convinced by him with every passing game

Preferably in a nicely padded room.....

Seems a bit unlikely.
But I do think there is something about the next 2 games after a vote of confidence being key to the manager staying.
I think I mentioned it earlier in the thread so this may be what the telegraph are picking up on....

;hmm
No thanks.
At least Avram won the Israeli championship while he was there, Jokanovic didn't even last a season
