He really doesn't though, does he. Doesn't even reference the owners. I hate this kind of 'journalism'.
It's sub-editing at its worst.
The trouble, imo, is the sub-editors (or whoever is tasked with it) who add titles which fail to reflect the content of the story, and often downright contradict it.
I do tend to think the owners (well one) get a bit carried away and some of the fans take every word literally.
And people read rubbish like this from the Mail, Express, Sun etc. far more than they would read a story that took a week to report on.

Is it self-regulated?
There is no binding code of ethics, they exist in different forms but are rarely followed. For example, I'm signed up to a code but only because I am a member of
the National Union of Journalists but they have very few members.
Scary laugh.
