    Rav - full or a lot, the point stands; if we have a lot of dross, surely we were lucky to get 12th, and that was some other West Ham in the top 4 for much of the first half of the season.

    I'd guess everyone wants Bilic to do well, for obvious reasons, but if he doesn't, then I think blaming the squad he inherited is a joke.

    Grey I'm not blaming the squad if things go pear shape.
    I just think he needs three windows to build his own team and will judge him then.

    I just don't want this season to be a backward step.

    I won't be happy if it turns out to be '1 step forward, 2 steps back'.

    I already feel like we are being encouraged to lower our expectations.

    Well I'm happy so far, and looking forward to the season, battering a few teams and being battered by others. Would be nice to smash 5+ past somebody and to get some decent results against Manu, chavski etc. a cup run would be great, and to play with some spirit. But mostly I want to see a bit of style and class. ;ok

    When you look at our squad now I can't see the a lot of dross.

    Even the players which have under performed would still make it into a lot of PL teams squads imo.

    I agree we have to move some players on but if they are dross how would we describe Mido, Big boned Benni, Nigel the relegator etc etc

    Yes Downing moving was a great deal, Nolan needs to probably move on....captain, leader, legend!

    While I think Noble has got a tough season ahead of him, dross, DROSS?!?!

    Amalfitano and Jarvis may get chances, they're not on top of their game I agree but "dross"?

    JOB I'll almost give you but he's our Joey, he's a solid backup, possibly.
