Don't remember, but wouldn't call people out if I did. I've see it a few times here and more frequently not on this forum, comments on articles and facebook.
Eski, its not a point of hoping Noble will be dropped, its a case of Mark and afew others upping their performances to warrant a starting place,if they fail to produce the performances expected of them and with the additions we have made and possibly more to come,Mark and others will find themselves on the bench,if you play well you stay in the team,if not,you will find yourself on the bench and that's how it should be,SIMPLES.
64, I absolutely agree with you. Every player is droppable, I 100% agree with that. Noble was awful the end of the season, just like everyone else. There were some people saying he should be dropped even when he was playing well though. Some people saying that we'll never progress with him in the side. I don't agree with that last bit in particular. Everyone praises Nolan for his off-field work, but from what I see, Noble does just as much.
If the reported numbers for the game are correct then Bilic will be there. He knows full well how to get the supporters on his side. He has said all the right things so far. He will be there and acknowledge the support against what on paper is an easy game, midweek, with is essence will be the second/third string players.

So basically not members of this forum? (that you can remember)
Dicks is my favorite player of all time (that I have watched play). So glad to have him back at the club.
He is my all time favourite too. And I still remember a tabloid headline after one barnstorming display v Chelsea - "The Crown Jules"
However, for some reason I am ;hmm about this appointment. Just not sure. Heart on the sleeve passion, aggression and commitment as a player doesn't automatically lead to similar success in a coaching capacity - eg PDC, Roy Keane
A little underwhelmed by Dicks's appointment if I'm honest.
Sorry HH, but why?
Clearly the Dave's and The Beard are on a path to get unity amongst the camp, no more "them and us" type of mentality. SA did a great job with the team he brought in, to get us where we are, but some of his older players and more reliable squad members are coming to an end, now is a new chapter. Also they want the fans 100% on side.
We've got two ex-players at the top of the managerial tree.....Dicks is untested, but I'll tell you what, none of our players will get away with 75-90% peformances anymore and training even though he didn't like running himself, I can see them making it enjoyable, building a camaraderie also installing some much needed "Steel".
In my opinion, now when we're losing and they see The Beard and The Terminator jump out of their seats, the fans will get behind the players......
Rather than abuse the management team all too quickly
But saying or implying that having Dicks on the roster will mean players will always give 100% wholehearted performances is a bit like saying having Zola as manager will mean top quality entertaining football....
Should Bilic be sacked at a future date than the great Julian will become manager, even if only on a temporary basis as all the foreign coaching staff would almost certainly leave with Slaven.
Just doesn't strike me as a 'progressive' type of coach really. Although as his title is 'Coaching Assistant' he may be little more than a bibs and cones man. We shall see. I wish him well of course.
Cheers Cuz, my only issue is that this has been put out in the public realm. The owners and Bilic already knew all of it. It wouldn't have been news to any of them so what purpose does it serve?

Fair enough mate ;ok
Personally I can't see past the love in right now.
The youngsters and reserve players go out with Terry Westley (and a couple of other coaches) to Ireland for a week. Bilic pops out for a couple of days (with his new backroom staff) to watch them before the squad fly home. This squad, through no choice, is going to be the squad that takes on Lusitans, with Randolph, Tomkins, O'Brien, Amalfitano, Jarvis and Sakho the only senior players.
That squad are now back in the UK preparing for Thursday, but Slav is still out in Ireland, being joined by the rest of the first team (Adrian, Reid, Ginge, Hendrie, Noble, Obiang, Downing etc the ones pictured). I assume they will do a week too, then all fly back ready for next week.
So how can Slav take charge of the Europa League game? Is Westley likely to take charge whilst Slav sits in the stands?

But there's a much better chance they will.
My guess is it will be fun as well....(not to say that SA may not of been).

Let's get PDC in to hand the water bottles out and we've got an immediate hat-trick right now.
;hmm not sure what to make of that? Seems very negative?
He's having a senior moment ;whome
We'll reward you if you excel.
If we go down, it's your fault. So we'll insert a relegation clause.
You weren't our first choice.
Good luck ;ok

Opens gob just to change feet...

Don't think The Beard will have too much of a problem not being first choice, as long as he comes out being the "best" choice in the long run.
Love the fact if we completely mess up he gets nothing, just the way it should be imo....(I don't think he will)
8th is probably about right, but I think if we invest another 20-30m then Sully will be secretly hoping it's a place or two higher.

I would think just as many bought tickets to see SB's expected first home game as they did to see European footie.
Hope he's there......or we may see a very early "cupping of the beard"
;hmm
