West Ham make approach for Al Nassr goalkeeper Bento Latest from Sky Sports News' Chris Reidy: West Ham have approached Al Nassr about signing Brazil goalkeeper Bento. The Hammers would like to sign him on loan with an option to buy, but talks are yet to progress. Bento is a 26-year-old goalkeeper who joined Al Nassr from Athletico Paranaense in the summer of 2024. He has made six appearances for Brazil. West Ham are continuing their efforts to improve the squad for head coach Nuno Espirito Santo after landing two strikers: Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe. The relegation-threatened club also remain keen to sign Adama Traore from Fulham.
Erm, yeh.....You said it was a bit premature, so what part of @Pengeman 's post were you referring to.... Was it the part 'he played in a very poor team' ??? Was it 'The club is in turmoil' ???...That's what I meant..

I think Slacker meant the decision to terminate Wilson's contract is premature

@Jorderz_Moyes_will_be_Moyes , thanks, All I wanted to know was yeh, which part was he saying “it’s a bit premature to’? If you’re correct, I said the other day, it’s a mistake to let him go, but I don’t blame Wilson, he hardly got a chance and when he did, he found the net a few times, so IF that’s what Slacker is referring to, then I agree….👍🏻⚒️

None of the above, just that I think releasing Wilson now seems a bit premature. Got it now?👍

If we release Wilson (which seems likely given hes not there tonight) I just dont understand our club (not that I did anyways)
Our team was woefully short of firepower
Essentially we had Bowen and Summerville (coming off a long injury) as our wing option as Paqueta was never a winger and Guilherme hasn't been trusted by 3 managers.
Then we had Fullkrug and Wilson, Wilson on a pay to play because we couldn't guarantee his fitness
So we had 6 players for the front 3, including Guilherme & Paqueta.
Fullkrug obviously not in favour and couldn't do anything and Summerville, while a live wire, has got end product
Wilson, to his credit, has done pretty well even though he's been used more than he should
Fullkrug and Guilherme binned off (the right imo) and 2 new attackers brought in....fantastic, hopefully got more firepower now with Bowen, Wilson, Summerville, Paqueta, Pablo and Taty.
Also means Wilson can be used more off the bench to nick a goal in the last 20 minutes, what he was brought in for
The we get rid of Wilson...the only striker we have that has hit the net and has a wealth of prem experience
We're actually an attacker down this window if he goes, back to 5 players for the front 3 (again including Paqueta who isnt a winger).... thats not enough
And where are the centre back links? Literally cant head a ball and yet, no links yet
From what I have read Wilson doesn't want to be the third choice striker which I can understand if he is on a "pay if you play contract". Marshall going out on loan, so there is another forward who could have been used if required.

So sad. He had passed his prime but was still decent. He didn't get a lot of opportunities and played in a very poor team. A Club in turmoil.
Got it now?👍

Oh well, best to wait until some official statement.

Hope we keep Wilson...how peak is that to admit
If he has a strop just drop him, hes on about £5k a week apparently, let him sulk hes gone in the summer
Im sure he wants to get paid and he agreed the deal so im sure he'd want to try, and if Taty or Pablo or anyone gets injured im sure he'll play
Hasn't looked like a player who doesnt care when hes played
Even if he gets 2goals from now till the new year, but those 2 goals win us points then its madness to sell him
