Crawley gone to Henry again 9-1

Henry's certainly got his number.

Crawley will be very lucky to be in the team in the Summer - they have little choice for the third test

He certainly needs a score in the third Test.

buffybegood · December 2024

82-1 at lunch, a lead of 237.

buffybegood · December 2024

Such a shame, Bethell goes for 96. 196-2, England lead by 351 runs.

buffybegood · December 2024

Likewise for Duckett, out for 92. 211-3, a lead of 366.

buffybegood · December 2024

215-3 at tea, a lead of 370.

Pope goes for 10, 327-5, a lead of 482.

buffybegood · December 2024

378-5 at close of play, a lead of 533 already. Root is on 73, and Stoke 35 off just 26 balls.

BubblesNeverDies · December 2024

What are the odds for a draw?

buffybegood · December 2024

A ton for Root, with Stokes still there on 49no, England 422-5, a lead of 577.

buffybegood · December 2024

And he's out for 106. Stokes declares at 427-6, setting NZ 583 to win.

Early breakthrough for Woakes, 9-1.

buffybegood · December 2024

A super caught and bowled by Carse, NZ are 33-3.

buffybegood · December 2024

Carse gets a second, 59-4.

buffybegood · December 2024

59-4 at a slightly early (due to a bit of rain) lunch.

buffybegood · December 2024

Atkinson breaks what had been a good partnership. 106-5.

buffybegood · December 2024

buffybegood · December 2024

Stokes gets another, 254-9.

buffybegood · December 2024

259 all out as Stokes takes the final wicket, finishing with 3 wickets for 5 runs from just 14 balls. England win by 323 runs inside 3 days and have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

buffybegood · December 2024

England win the toss and will bowl first in the third and final Test against New Zealand this winter, having named an almost unchanged side, with Matthew Potts coming in for Chris Woakes. Play starts at 10pm UK time.

buffybegood · December 2024

New Zealand's morning, especially after being put in; 93-0.

buffybegood · December 2024

Finally an edge goes to hand as Brook takes a catch at second slip off Atkinson, NZ 105-1.

buffybegood · December 2024

Duckett puts down another tough chance at 3rd slip, both off Latham. Neither was easy, but this one was carried better than the first, which has already proved expensive.

buffybegood · December 2024

Latham goes this time, just edging one down the leg side, with Pope taking the catch off Potts. 142-2.
