Payet has just come back to train. He has to have a minimum of 3 weeks holiday, and The manger gave his a few days extras as his home

Is there something missing at the end of the last sentence?

As his home ... furnishings have to be put in crates in order to be shipped to Spain?

  • PAYET STAYING

It’s West Ham boss Slaven Bilic’s turn to speak to Sky Sports News HQ at the Premier League launch. How important was it for West Ham to keep Dimitri Payet ahead of the new season? Bilic says it was vital…

“With keeping Dimitri Payet we wanted to show that the club is serious when you are talking about new players or trying to get the club to another level and that shows me as much as a new stadium – even more.

“Because West Ham have always been labelled as a club who have had to sell their best players whether that is Frank Lampard or Rio Ferdinand or whoever.

“But we showed that the club is thinking serious. We lost some players, some were on loan, we lost James Tomkins who went to Palace. We have got a few and we are happy we have done good business with Nordtveit and Feghouli who are really great players who were free.

“Two days ago we completed the deal with Ayew and Arthur Masuaku from Olympiakos because we needed another left back and that is basically it.”

  • Would someone at the club please mention Calleri ;weep
  • Shame we cannot move Valencia and Sakho on to get in adequate replacements. Get the feeling Sakho will not play at all and will sulk. Valencia will just be duff as ever. Pretty much deadweight.
  • The neat solution would be to offer Lyon sakho, Enner and £15m in exchange for Lacazette
  • The Sakho situation is very annoying.

    Play properly or bogg off.
  • Suz, couldn't agree more. ;ok
  • Me too. But more than that, I feel we need a statement from the board about whether he is training with the 1st team squad and if not, why not, what the club is doing about his situation, and in the case that we are trying to sell him but cannot, what we are doing to make sure he is ready to play should we need him to do so, which I reckon we do atm. If he is not match fit, this is absolutely unacceptable. Is that too much to ask or should we accept it's a personal matter that is none of our business?
  • It's so sad really, I genuinely think that he could be a real asset to the club. It's up to him. ;ok
  • For me I don't understand why he isn't fit (rumoured to be the reason that WBA deal fell through).

It's in our and his interest to be fit and ready for the move.
  • I read somewhere recently that Sakho is injured and will have a personal programme once they have got to the bottom of the injury.

I'm trying to remember where I read that ;hmm
  • He has a back injury, that's why he failed the medical. Obviously has a weakness there.
  • Yeah and in the cranium region too.

    #headsgone
  • That's what I reckon Luke, all this nonsense about not being match for causing them to pull out, they knew he hadn't been playing when they bid

Just think in 21 days you'll be agreeing and CMU this kind of post

    ;biggrin

Mr G any chance we can get the old OS Counter/countdown set to the end of the transfer window?

    Ta muchly
  • Any links to official statements about Sakho's injury would certainly get a bumper crop of CMUs.

OK, so now I'm seeing lots of newspaper stories saying after the WBA medical, WH medical staff checked out his supposed back injury and said he'd be fine for the start of the season or at least one week in. Or six weeks from 4 Aug according to the Sun. Or 5 weeks from the 3 Aug according to the Express. But would still like OS report on this injury - can't find any 'from the treatment room' articles since 20 July.

Sorry - this is going rather off-topic!

    Well, Dimi's great isn't he?!
