Our whole side bar Diouf, Potts & Magassa is PL experienced.

And they are three of our best performers....
  • Whoever the cf is, I just hope he's quick...all our recent cf failures have been too slow.imo naturally.
  • It's a pretty simple window, A fast forward and a dependable centre back, a dynamic midfielder if available to replace Paqueta if he goes in the style of Conor Gallagher.

Now we just have to find them and pay for them!!!!!
  • If we lose Paqueta and replace him with Gallagher that would be an extra boring side.

I disagree. Paqueta usually slows play down, gets surrounded by opposition players, tries a difficult pass and loses the ball. Gallagher? Loads of energy but not much subtlety...

  • I doubt if Gallagher, Ake or any other player with any ambition will be interested in Championship football next season

Ake has been linked with Barcelona and Palace (Guehi replacement?), Gallagher linked with Man Utd, Newcastle and Spurs so neither seems likely to join us

Seems more likely we’ll sign Charlie Cresswell from Toulouse

I would snap anyone up who is Prem Lwague experience and wants to join us

Like Mavropanos and Kilman? Walker-Peters? Hermansen? Wilson? Summerville? Having PL experience really doesn’t mean all that much if the person with the experience is rubbish.
    Mavropanos £22m
    Kilman £40m
    Walker-Peters free
    Hermansen £20m
    Wilson free
    Summerville £25m+

You could argue that the players who cost nothing have been the best performers when given the chance.

The £60m wasted on Kilman and Hermansen must be breaking Sullivan's heart.
  • Paqueta is clearly a very talented footballer but not really suited to our current predicament. He so often plays the match like it's beach football, as in 'let's try this' oh well that didn't come off, but would been fun if it had'. Meanwhile in the Premier league the opposition are attacking us again. He is a great luxury in a side that has total confidence in a Rice or pair of competent centre backs that can mop up his failed attempts at beauty, but in a side that is fragile to each attacking moment he is proving costly.

He played his best football as an inside left, coming off the left wing & playing narrow, especially when Emerson was playing well (which should transfer to Diouf in theory). I think if we continue to play him that’s where it needs to be - losing the ball on the left byline of the opponents half is not a big deal.
  • I would snap anyone up who is Prem Lwague experience and wants to join us

The point I was trying to make, but not very well, is that I can't see anyone wanting to join us who has Prem League experience.

I do agree we don't want rubbish, but nobody signs these players thinking they are

Maybe on loan if we pay them handsomely

But then you get the issue of motivation
  • Reports that we've offered £11m or £12m for Viktoria Plzen's 22yo Nigerian CF Rafiu Durosinmi, 13 goals in 30 this season although not a Nigerian international at any level

Also reports that Juventus want Guido Rodriguez

Are West Ham players the latest must-have fashion accessory in Italy?
  • Who would have thought Juventus and AC Milan would want any of our team outside of Bowen and possibly Paqueta. Either they don't know what they are doing, or we don't!
  • Rodriguez is a decent squad player for a dominant team in a league played at walking pace. Loan sounds sensible.
  • Adama Traore signing on a 2.5 deal according to
    Spanish media outlets.

    Oh god.
  • So we'll have 2 speedy winners racing to the byeline and then......
At least Traoré won't get knocked off the ball, I suppose.
  • I'm okay with it .right price ,Just hope Nuno gets the best out of him

Well yes, I mean watching Paqueta roll around is quite entertaining.
  • Nuno making all the right noises about getting players in early to rebalance his squad. Hopefully if they’re from abroad we don’t do the usual of not playing them until March because they need to acclimatise to the PL because obviously the best way for them to acclimatise is to sit watching games.
  • I heard about a book called The Captain Class earlier, that is a deep dive analysis of what makes sports teams successful, and the common component of many successful teams is what the author calls a water carrier. Basically, someone who isn’t necessarily the best (they could be, but they don’t have to be) skills wise, but have a never say die, “we will not lose” mentality. Then I was thinking about our squad and how we have approximately 0 of those. I feel like we’re really missing the likes of Coufal, Cresswell, even Antonio to a degree. Probably Soucek is the closest thing we have to that now, and he’s not on the pitch. In January, I think we need to get one or two players like that in. Preferably at CB, and maybe as up front.
  • Yes, I agree. I also think we are missinga natural leader. Bowen is a great player, but not a natural leader.

Nolan, Noble, Rice were natural leaders. We are missing one of these.
  • BBC says Wolves want £40m for Jorgen Strand Larsen and were not prepared to pay that

Apparently Nuno wants player with English league experience, Ex says we looking at Coventry CFs Ellis Simms and Haji Wright
  • Seems like we might be getting pabio Felipe 21 year old striker ,Don't know a thing about him
  • It is reported that Gil Vicente's 6ft Portugese striker Pablo Felipe Pereira de Jesus "is expected in east London in the next 24 hours with a view to trying to complete his medical and registration for Friday’s 12pm deadline".

He plays in the Primeira Liga and scored 5 goals (20 appearances on 2024-25) and 10 (13 appearances) in the current season. Whether he can deliver in the EPL remains to be seen.

  • Friday's deadline?

Is that a deadline for being available for Saturday, because it's not the transfer window deadline 🤔

Yeah, to be registered in time to play against Wolves.
  • Great, we need a striker to come in & get goals to keep us up & we sign a 20 year old prospect.
  • He might work well in the championship =)
