West Ham are pushing to sign RB Leipzig striker Andre Silva on loan, according to Sky in Germany.
It is said that the Hammers have scheduled talks with the German club to are set to continue this week in the hopes of striking a loan until the end of the season, which will include a buy option. The Portuguese striker has played a bit part role for Leipzig this season scoring once in eight Bundesliga games this season. It is also reported that other Bundesliga sides are interested in Silva. Sky Sports News understands Ajax's Brian Brobbey is also an option for West Ham.
I'm sure it'll happen. The club are drop their pants for anyone with a few bob. I give it 5 more years and West Ham game tickets will have reached Liverpool prices.
I hope they do as Liverpool are considerably cheaper than us.
Sorry, should have clarified. I meant the actual going rate for tickets, as opposed to list price.
@Ravel49, Brobbey is Antonio Mk2 π. @buffybegood, Two of those players have hardly played so you must be an extremely good judge to have decided they arenβt good players, one of them is a forward in the German national team. Mavropanos you do have a good case on π.

I didn't say they aren't good players, I said they weren't good deals, there's a huge difference.
We seem to have been saying this for ages, but we need a centre forward, and second for me a centre half. But we appear to be linked this month with a multitude of midfielders. We can always strengthen in all areas, but do West Ham have different (wrong?) priorities for this transfer window?
I think there policy is chuck a few names out there ,Dont sign anyone ,Get Bowen back win 3 or 4 games rest of the season .Then try to figure it out in the summer
I'm surprised we've not really pushed for Ekitike from PSG on loan, preferably with an option. He's not getting game time nor is he likely to, we've got a decent working relationship with PSG, he can play centrally or off the left, he'll definitely get game-time, we're in the last 16 of the Europa, so, as long as we pick up some of his wages/pay a fee, there's something in it for him, them and us.
I can't see him being particularly expensive, there'd be no long term commitment if it didn't work out (we know PSG are open to loans), so just get it done.
If we get him on loan then he'd be able to cover any minutes Ings would, so no excuse not to offload Ings this window while we've got a chance; I can't believe he'd offer us less than Ings. Benefits us for the remainder of this season and next season too if Ings's wages are off the books. If Ekitike worked out well (assuming we've got an option which PSG have been open to in the past), then it would be a bonus on top.
Can't help feeling we missed a very obvious boat with this one πππ.
Pukki leaves MLS to join HJK Helsinki Former Norwich striker Teemu Pukki has left the MLS to join Finnish side HJK Helsinki for an undisclosed fee. Pukki spent five years at Norwich between 2018 and 2023, making over 200 appearances and scoring 88 goals. He left England for MLS side Minnesota United in 2023.
Knowing Spurs they are probably just pushing the price up for Brobbey against us. I can't claim to have seen this guy play but stats like that are really underwhelming, 3 goals in 29 appearances in the Dutch League for one of their better teams is not in my view going to be the player we need. He will have been playing teams of Championship level at best every other week and should have been finding the net a bit more.
candbsky, This isnβt same Ajax team from the last couple of seasons as they have sold several of their top players including Alvarez, Bergwijn & Kudus.
Yes but they are still 2nd in the league, and when playing the likes of RKC Waalwijk, Almere City or PEC Zwolle, he should be able to have a better goals to appearances stat than he has, because I would imagine the defences he encounters in our matches will be of a wholly different calibre.
ASLEF, Andre Silva's stats for this season aren't great either. He is also several years older than Brobbey.
Thats because Silva is 4th choice striker at RB, he spends more time on the bench than he does on the pitch
15 appearances with just 2 starts in 25 games heβs been available and one goal. Just 305 minutes
And heβs missed the last four with a calf injury
He spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad so we could probably get him on loan for the rest of the season whereas Ajax want a straight transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy for Brobbey
I still think our biggest problem is pace. You can't coach that
Trevor Brooking and Booby Moore were not renowned for pace but were great players. It is also other abilities, such as reading the game, guile, positioning. Mix of the team also matters, Billy Bonds gave Brooking a lease of life.
We will never really be able to compete successfully if we are going back to the days of signing other teams fringe players. We need to be continuing to show the kind of ambition shown when we signed existing top first team players like Todibo, Summerville, AWB, Kudus & Alvarez.
