Whilst I am sort of leaning towards JLOut right now, the idea that Mark Noble, with 0 management or coaching experience, would be a better option than a former Spain, Porto, Real Madrid and Sevilla manager is crazy to me. If the option is Noble for a few games or JLIn, I’m JLIn.
I think this focus on the language is a red herring.
I’m in agreement with you Mrs Grey. I have no problem understanding him and if there was an issue, they would have brought in a translator. The language issue is the easiest thing to fix. I also don’t believe that he has lost the dressing room.
Is this all on J-Lo? And not on Timmy and the signings made? Did J-Lo have any say? Genuinely 🤷♂️
I think J-Lo definitely had a say in Kilman, but beyond that it's hard to say. Füllkrug strikes me as very much a Timmy buy, he tried to get Moyes to take him the previous summer. Guilherme likewise feels like TS. Not sure about AWB, he doesn't feel like a typical J-Lo full back, but equally doesn't really have a TS vibe to it. Todibo feels like TS, but I'd have thought J-Lo would be very much in favour.
Apparently Sullivan was claiming Summerville; either way I think, for the price paid, most people would be happy with that deal. Soler strikes me as a player J-Lo would be keen on, obviously only a loan, but I can see him being a regular starter now he's up and running. Rodriguez, on a free, seemed a decent enough signing, not sure on J-Lo's likely input on that though.
I don't get what the thinking is with decisions like that. Either he is good enough now to stay on or he is not ? giving him another game isn't going to change this fact ?

It does feel as though even if he gets a win on Monday, he's only ever going to be 2 bad consecutive results from getting the sack now, even if he has got a stay of execution this time around.
Kind of motivates the opposition with a one match extension. Almost saying if you can’t beat Wolves then you’re definitely not the manager we need. Similarly if we do win then it proves nothing.
buffy, I agree so on that basis we will be looking for a new manager early in January after we lose to Liverpool & Manchester City. They had the same strange policy with the previous manager he reportedly had (no I can't give the media sources that said it was the case) at least two must win games which he won v Everton (Frank L got sacked) & Nottingham Forest.
I doubt either manager will be in a job for long regardless of who wins on Monday. The problem now with Lopetgui is he is so undermined that it will be hard for him to gain the respect of the players when the board are not publicly backing him. There has been talk of fall outs and my fear is that after allowing him be undermined since the Leicester match will the players be motivated to see him off the cliff edge against Wolves. He should have been backed or sacked.
I would have put out either of two statements.
As a club we thought the performance against Leicester was deserving of a better result, it was a harsh scoreline on both the players and manager. Despite media speculation we retain faith in this group of players and our manager to turn things around as we know just how hard they are working.

We have decided to part ways and we wish him the best, ......... will be in charge for Wolves.
I struggle to see the end game here. He gets another week in the job, what are we expecting to change in that time. We’re not going to tighten up & become hard to beat in a week, we’re still going to have CBs not suited to playing a high line, we’re still going to have a midfield too weak to deal with Emerson & AWB playing as wingers, we’re still going to have a striker in his 30s leading the line who does not score goals. It just seems very strange.
Personally, I don’t see any replacement sorting out the squad quickly. So it does make you think is it even worth changing & just seeing it through. This constant one game shootout is ridiculous & not sustainable. He’s either your guy or not.
The game against Leicester was odd. 3-1 flattered them & part of me does still feel that Moyes had a horrendous first 14 games or so & Iraola also was on the brink of the sack at Bournemouth before they went on a good run & now he is perceived as doing a great job.
We can’t deny that 60% of the ball & over 30 shots is a new look West Ham. Can we sort out our defensive errors & how open we are? Not sure.
I am not sure Potter is the answer as he had a good stint with Brighton but they have progressed even further without him, whilst he had a very talented squad at Chelsea and did very little. I think there is little out there at present.
I keep saying it, Michael Carrick is worth a shot. Doing well at Boro, great reader of the game, knows West Ham and stayed loyal when we were relegated. What have we got to lose?

Utter madness.
