The Transfer Window

  • Taken from an independent website I came across earlier -

In Amado's case his sister Melisa is one of the three owners of Belgium based Be The Future Management and is the driving force behind the player's outrageous wage demands, she is apparently demanding £135,000 per week which Hammers simply won't pay. Her stance has particularly upset fellow company owner Geoffrey Hoogland who had mediated transfer talks and helped negotiate the massive £35 Million agreed between Lille and West Ham, Hoogland would have pocketed BTFM a minimum of £7.5 Million by taking a commission from BOTH sides as is quite normal now.

I don't think I'm allowed to express exactly how disgusted I am by the greed on display in this.
  • Family members as agents seem to be the worst. Greed from closer to home that's much harder to ignore.
  • If we are to play a back 3 then shouldn't we be all over Connor Coady whom it appears Wolves are prepared to sell?
  • Rumours today include BBD from Blackburn Marco Senesi Feynoord Alex Grimaldo Benfica
  • All out attack?

    Areola
    Coufal - Zouma - Aguerd - Cresswell
    Bowen - Souček - Rice - Cornet
    Scamacca - Antonio
  • Onana having Everton medical now.

Who will be scoring their goals this season? Richarlison sold & DCL out for 6 weeks.
  • Lukerz, Dele Alli according to the reports this morning.
  • Seems a strange signing for Everton they are spending alot of the Richarlsion money on a youngster when you thought they would have other areas that need more attention i.e upfront.
  • It is strange for Everton, but then again you look through there list in terms of natural CM you'd argue they only really have Doucoure and Allan as options there (Ali and Iwobi are more attacking midifelders)

But yea, can't see where the goals are

Iwobi, Gray, Gordon, Townsend and Alli are their best AM/wingers and none are prolific
  • Grimaldo would be a shrewd signing.

    Wolves in the same boat.

I think Broja will go out on loan on the last day of the window. Everton or Wolves.

Yea see a lot of teams after him

Goals are key, and no maybe he didn't bsg a lot of Saitns but he is an outlet and brings players into dangerous positions

Still holding out for a loan move with an option to buy for us, but with Scamacca in the door and potentially Cornet (who could be announced today)...targets have slipped to LB and CM (and potentially CB with Diop still likely to move)
  • If Everton are relying on Broja to get them the required goals, they’re in more trouble than they already are.
  • I hope they go down

Odd things going on at Brighton

    Cucurella to Chelsea £55m

Duffy to Fulham on a season-long loan

Brighton down to four CBs having spent most of the last three seasons under Potter playing three at the back.

Meanwhile Bournemouth have signed GK Netto from Barcelona (after Lidl and Aldi turned them down)
  • 19yo CB Levi Colwill has gone from Chelsea to Brighton
  • The penny appears to have dropped. Thank goodness. =)
  • He also makes reference to Cornet being in the building 🤞🤞🤞
  • Ogbonna another month away from contention so possibly still needing a CB option with Diop off & Aguerd injured, especially if we want to play a back 3.

Not sure what's happened with Ogbonna, but it doesn't sound great tbh; I thought, seeing as we extended his contract that he would be ready, after all his rehab and a solid pre-season, or at least available, but he's a long way from that still. This from today's presser:

The next question concerns injuries and how close Angelo Ogbonna is to a return...
"We have quite a lot of concerns but I’m certainly not going to give them to you!

"Angelo is playing this afternoon for the U21s. He had his first 90 minutes last week and he’s doing really well, but not ready yet to be considered for the first team yet.

"He’s coming along nicely and hopefully in three or four weeks will be much closer."
  • Looks as if another centre half is needed to go with a LB & CDM. Do we need to sell Diop first to give David Moyes more funds to play with?
  • There seems to have been a deal on the table from Fulham for Diop which, if we're not going to play him, seems silly not to go through with. Diop out, than a CB in to both cover Aguerd and Ogbonna atm, with a view to succession planning for Ogbonna anyway, all imo.
  • Fulham have just signed Shane Duffy from Brighton on a season long loan and they were linked with two or three other CBs

    Possibly Diop is staying
  • ASLEF, One of the CB’s is Malang Sarr from CFC. Could we sell Diop thus raising funds to spend on other positions & take Sarr on loan ourselves?
  • Sarr would be a quality addition imo
    Can cover LCB and LB
    Gets what the Irons need
And benefits Chelsea as the lad gets prem experience
  • Sarr turned down a loan move to Fulham, various sources claim he wants to go to Monaco and L'Equipe reckon a loan with option to buy has been agreed
  • Not sure Sarr is better than Diop tbh
  • Announce Cornet !
