The point is if they do this, they cannot possibly return to play in the Premier League unless some form of legislation to ensure the vast sums of money cannot he spent on wages/transfer fees. They cannot come back to the PL x amount richer than the other clubs & that amount is not a reward, but a constant expectation every season.
Can you imagine if they boot them all out Man City going from winning a potential Quadruple to nothing in the space of a week lol. Thats worse than Arsenals out of everything in the month of March record.

But the plan is that they will STAY in the PL, not leave and come back.
And their finances will have been 'legitimately' earned through competitions and success, etc. As long as they meet the various (current) FFP regs, they can generate funds however they like, surely? Under current rules?
I have changed my mind, I think the Super League is a wonderful idea!
Allow the season finish, let the Euros go ahead and then when they announce their fixtures kick them out. No teams will be relegated and instead of the playoffs the top six teams from the Championship are promoted (hello, Barnsley).
In the absence of the Big Six Leicester, West Ham, Everton and Leeds go into the Champions League group stage while Villa and Wolves go into the Europa League.
Palace are so stunned to be in the Europa League qualifying rounds that they are still expecting someone to jump up out shouting "APRIL FOOL" and fail to qualify for the Group Stages, knocked out by an Estonian side that no one at Sky Sports ever manages to pronounce correctly.
Meanwhile the Super League has descended into chaos. There's a tsunami of transfer requests as players realise that none of them will play in the World Cup and that there is only one piece of silverware with 12 teams after it.
Lingard definitely quits Man U and joins West Ham
Eventually the ESL withers and one by one the teams beg to rejoin their national leagues at the bottom.
In 2071 the Artificial Intelligence that represents the pan-galactic beings that own the new Big 6 (West Ham, Everton, Newcastle, Villa, Nottingham Forest and MK Dons) announce they are forming a European Super League...

But that’s the point. They can’t remain. Cos the power imbalance becomes huge as the other clubs in the PL don’t benefit from those revenue increases. Arsenal go and spend £400m on players one summer, end up above Leicester & West Ham the following season, based on being allowed to participate in the Super League when they sit mid-table.
And the money is not legitimately earned, as they have not qualified for the competition through merit. It’s a guarantee of billions of pounds more than the other PL clubs, based on a behind the scenes deal, which goes against the rules they all signed up to in the PL.
How have Arsenal or Spurs legitimately earned super league status? Based on history? How have City? They were a bottom half side 10 years ago. On that basis let’s get Blackburn involved & Forest & Derby. Lob them all in.

But they'd argue (and you can't disagree) that they have additional expenses. They are going to have players in the club who are not registered for the purposes of the Pl competition. (They'll have to, surely, to meet their obligation, because there are many weeks where the Pl have mid-week matches.)
Yeah, it’s basically for Man United and Chelsea and Liverpool to worm their way into the Champions League every season when they haven’t been good enough on the pitch to earn it. Repulsive.

Which bit of the rules/articles are you thinking of here? (genuine question.)

Apparently some bloke from the Danish F.A. reckons City, Chelsea and Real Madrid could be booted out of the CL and be replaced by Dortmund, Atalanta and Porto. That would be hilarious.

I'd rather play in a league without them even if it does mean less money. We'd have fun and might even win some trophies, and they can all rot.

Very much part of their planning IMO
