Josh King is out-of-contract at the end of the season so if Bournemouth want to sell him they have to do it this month. They might be asking for £10m now but that price is likely to come down as the end of the window approaches.
If not Moyes will sign him for nothing in the summer.
King will just sit out his contract and collect a nice signing on fee in the summer, No way he will allow Bournemouth to reap a fee for him that he could have himself in six months time.
c&bsky, so does that mean he won’t be joining us then in the summer? Do hope we get a couple of new players in this window otherwise we will just be coasting to the end of the season & all the hard work so far will be for nothing. 🤞
I personally don’t think we will be paying a fee for anyone this window with the possible exception being a very low fee for josh king if that can be achieved. Loans only therefore. Which begs the question what has happened to the proceeds from the sale of our only recognised striker. Anybody’s guess.
The fee will be paid to us in installments its not like they have given us all the money upfront most deals the fee is spread of a few years . C&H reported we still owed 11 mio on Haller this will be paid when due. I think we might have some money but if we buy anyone we will probably only need a percentage of the fee to pay upfront the rest will be spread aswell .I can see us maybe getting 1 player in for a fee and maybe a free.

Sorry barracks but that sounds like you're making up you're own conspiracy theory.
I know alot of people here don't like Diego Costa. He's mean looking and very physical ,but if his wage demands weren't too high and he isn't the sort of player to upset the dressing room, then he's available on a free. I used to hate him at Chelsea but that was because he put himself about. Thoughts?
A few of the options are likely to be less than palatable, that’s the reality. Costa and Deeney being two. But we are likely to have limited choice and options. Key question is whether the person is a preference of Moyes.
Personally I don't think either Costa or Deeney are mobile enough, they would hold up play better but it would smack of an expensive(wages) short term fix . Dia/Daka/Piatek are the names that keep getting mentioned wether there is an truth is another matter we do seem to be a bit better recently at keeping things under wraps most the talk seems to be speculation/agent stories.
It is clear that Moyes did not value him and WHU decided to cut its losses, the best it could. Sometimes that happens as a player dos not fit the way a manager wants the team to play. We all remember how Andy Caroll joined Liverpool in 2011 amidst a fanfare for £35m, but new did not fit the style of play that new manager Brendan Rodgers wanted to play. So Carroll was shipped out and eventually sold to WHU in 2013 for £15m, I think. I think Haller will still score goals in the right set-up, but don't think he was suitable for EPL.
Haller said he'd been waiting for that move, so I kind of doubt the pay-off. Unless it's really true that we actually paid far, far less than the 45m for him, the maths don't seem to add up.
90min claiming that we paid Haller £3m to accept the Ajax deal as they could only offer £90k p/w compared to the £130k p/w we were paying him.
If that's true, we really must have wanted rid.
I suspect haller would have gone for less money but if not he could have stayed here on same money forcing the clubs hand, but seems he’s not that sort of person

I hear that Merseyside is a lot like Milan...
It appears the return of Marko Arnautovic at West Ham is becoming increasing unlikely.
The Hammers were offered the chance to sign their former striker earlier this month, although his high wages were proving a huge stumbling block.
Arnautovic has since taken to social media to distance himself from a move and insists he will link up with his Shanghai SIPG team-mates.
Posting on his official Weibo page, Arnautovic said: "The break is over. Goodbye to my babies for now. Daddy has work to do.
"Can't wait to be back in Shanghai. See you soon."
😁
