Just looking at moyes striker signings at Everton a club he had most success with some good ones on that list, James Beattie,jo, Jermaine beckford, Francis jeffers, vellios( now forest) jutkiewicz ( now Birmingham) Marcus bent, Jordan hugill, yakubu and Saha let’s hope he’s getting some help on his search
Everything that almost every striker we’ve signed hasn’t been. Our two best strikers for a long time were originally wingers. It’s good Moyes knows specifically the type he wants.
Well it’s deffo what we need more than anything else fortune, but can only see one coming at most not two, and think that will be our window done no other positions covered due to COVID
With those wages they were never going to get a fee for him, particularly when they’ve made it blindingly obvious that they’re desperate for him to leave
Just noticed that Balbuena's contract is up at the end of the season although ex reckons we're in negotiations
Also out of contract in the summer Sheff U CM John Lundstram who we were linked with in the summer. He's turned down a new contract and we need another CM. Rangers are also linked but who wants to go to Glasgow when you can go to Gants Hill?
I still reckon we'll sign Josh King towards the end of the month, he has a proven Premier League scoring record unlike Dia, Daka or any of the others we've been linked with.
Lundstram would be a decent signing based on last seasons form, but this season he’s been trash (like most of their players). He would be an upgrade on our current backup options, though.

Moyes knows him too from their Everton days so this seems like a natural link. With Sheff Utd as good as down they may be prepared to let him go, particularly as he's gone in the summer anyway. Can't imagine he's on a huge wage so I'd take him now and then get another CM in the summer (Kral looks like a very good option) and put Noble out to pasture.
CM options going into the 2021/22 season Rice, Soucek, Kral, Lundstram would give us good depth.
Daily Telegraph this morning " West Ham United are looking at a deal for Montpelier striker Gatean Laborde to bolster David Moyes's attack" fee of £16million , Laborde 26 in his 3rd season with Montpelier has scored 3 in last 7.
Everton have cooled their interest in Bournemouth striker Joshua King, 29, with the Norway international said to be looking for a £120,000-a-week deal. No way will we pay him that
From BBC Gossip page: "Everton have cooled their interest in Bournemouth striker Joshua King, 29, with the Norway international said to be looking for a £120,000-a-week deal."
Probably why we have not signed him up yet. From my perspective £120K pw is too much for King. Hoping one of the other options pans out soon.
Hes 29, arguably going to get the last big deal of his career, the club who gets him won't be paying much/any of a fee (free transfers always seem to get high wages due to this) and he's got 48 goals in his 5 seasons in the Prem, pretty good return given he's missed a handful of games each year
But from the clubs perpsective, he isnt good enough to warrant anywhere close to £120k so I'm happy the club aren't going to cave and give in to his demands
I can completely see why he’d argue his corner on it, and yeah I don’t think it’s totally unreasonable given the evidence you’ve just mentioned. I just don’t think we’ll pay him that. I’m pretty sure that would make him our top earner, and he wouldn’t be a starter, for me.
Reckon he is in fantasy land. Whilst it is true others in a similar position have got themselves a fat contract as they are about to be a free agent, he is forgetting that we are in the middle of a pandemic and all clubs in the major leagues have been hit hard. He isn’t even a top drawer player. Fair play to him for trying (I’m sure I would too in a similar position), but if he wants that kind of wage, he is going to have to go East.

Don’t mind signing him, but only if you can guarantee he’s fit when Antonio isn’t and vica versa because I can see them both being out at the same time 😂😂

Not sure Southend United have those kind of resources either.
