Not really sure he was given much of a chance with us ,anyone know how many mins he spent on the pitch with us.Good luck to him hope it works out
400 minutes. 270 minutes and 3 starts in 3 games in the cups, just 130 minutes in 9 substitute appearances in the Premier League. The longest he got was 45 minutes of the second half against Newcastle at home.
i know we usually end up going down the list of targets because we rarely get our first choice, but considering where we are, are we onto Trialists soon ?
Winston Reid played his first 90 minutes for Sporting Kansas City (top of the Western Conference), a 2-1 away win over Minnesota Utd (2nd, nicknamed the Loons)
Hopefully he gets more game time and is a success so either some other team wants him or he comes back to us fully fit.

Reid has been our best centre half this century, IMO. Is he likely to regain his fitness enough to play for us? No. Is he a bad centre back? Not at all
Image, I think you're being a little unfair. Reid was an excellent CB until his injury/injuries whereas Roberto was poor from the get go (really, really hate that Americanism) start without the excuse of injuries.
Strong Twitter rumours that Hugill is close to moving to Norwich. Previous rumours suggested a fee of somewhere between £2m-£5m.
If true, we lose a decent negotiating hand with QPR for Eze. That move looks increasingly unlikely unless we manage to move on Anderson and/or Lanzini.
Some have suggested any fee for Hugill will be used to pay this months installment for Haller. It'll certainly be interesting to see what happens if Hugill does go; that would be £7m-£10m in the bank with Celtic's money for Ajeti, arguably enough to secure either Rico Henry or Ryan Manning; certainly enough to secure Duffy on loan.
Selling Hugill is stupid if we have no replacement. We literally have Haller up top. Its crazy.
The club absolutely see Antonio as a striker now. That'll be the counter-argument. Xande Silva was knocking around the first-team at the end of the season too, so the club will say they have three strikers vying for one position.
I think Yarmo plays as a striker for Ukraine so you could even push the argument that we have four choices up front (not an argument I would necessarily push, BTW)
So we buy Hugill for £8mil, which many people thought we overpaid for at the time...then he couldn't even get on the pitch after he joined and was sent away on loan the first chance we got
He had a good loan last year, but he also spent the entire of the 18/19 season at Boro where he only got 6 goals in about 2000 minutes of game time
And yet people online/twitter are raging that we are only getting £5mil for him, I'm confused
Also saying we need him for depth....depsite the fact we have literally spent the last 24 months without him in the team at all and Moyes (who brought him in) didnt fancy him
Moyes has often gone with 1 up top, and when he does play 2 up top it's often an attacking midfielder who pushes up close not 2 strikers (Lanzini off Arnie in his first spell and Soucek/Noble off Antonio recently)
As OCS said, Antonio right now is classed as a striker and tbf hes pretty fundamental to our system
Then we have Haller who barring some miracle bid is going to be with us next season and has a chance to redeem/prove himself because you can see he can be a really important player for us
And Xande Silva struggled with injuries this year, but was very good when he returned to the U23 and is probably going to get some time to be our 3rd choice
Celtic target Shane Duffy has hinted he could be on the move after uploading a photograph from a plane with the caption "Let's Go" on his verified Instagram account.
Celtic have expressed an interest in the Brighton defender, who has also been linked with West Ham and Leeds.
The 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international made 25 appearances for Brighton last season but has fallen behind Lewis Dunk and Adam Webster in the fight for places in the centre of defence.

Think the quality of the Scottish league is rubbish and if he doesn't hit double figures its really not very good
Think there is a player there, but we cant afford to have a player who may or may not be any good around our team
Didnt work for us so just move on
We do need full-backs & centre halves, plus another forward & maybe a CM.
We can’t splash money we don’t have on players we don’t need.

Excellent

Norwich City close to completing deal to sign Jordan Hugill from West Ham United in deal worth up to £5m.

We've done the selling part to the tune of, what, £8m so far?
Let's see what happens next...
