    Reminds me of Roberto

Not really. Roberto had 138 domestic appearances with Spanish top flight clubs, 93 domestic appearances with Olympiacos plus 27 in the Champions League and 12 in the Europa League.

On paper he was a good keeper but...
....Pity he wasn't very good with a football.

Just a shame how he was on grass :p
  • I thought Stephen Hendrie was a snooker player.

You're right. It was the same Stephen Hendrie.
  • Just seen Stephen Hendrie has joined Morcambe, for those of you who don't remember him he joined us in 2015 but never appeared for the first team. He has had alot of clubs since leaving us.

Didn't we sign him because the board didn't fancy paying Hull the £9m they wanted for Andy Robertson at the time?
  • OCS, That wouldn't surprise me.
  • Bournemouth plan to do everything possible to keep their 23-year-old Welsh playmaker David Brooks, with Tottenham, Everton and West Ham all interested in a deal. (Star Sunday)
  • I knew someone would bring up stephen hendrie......Right on cue.
    I'll get my 🧥

    Is that for a break
  • No, just to cushion the shock
  • I'm really feeling snookered by the lack of proper transfer rumours on here over the past few days.
  • Need to make a clean break from this
  • I stopped looking at this thread at 1:47
  • This thread has now become a thorne in my side.
  • This thread has split opinion, but isn’t up my alley so it’s not a strike for me

(I don’t know enough about snooker so I’m doing bowling puns)
  • WALLOP

    I mean why not :confounded:
  • That was a bit of a turkey alderz
  • It's OK Alderz, we'll spare you
  • Is it true we're signing that Russion striker.... Inov the red?
  • Another signing we can chalk off the list

    True story.
I was working in Thailand in the 90's with an American and 2 Japanese guys, Hayashi-san (who spoke English) and Misomoto-san (who didn't).
We had a few days off in Pattaya and of course the rain gods intervened, so we're down in the hotel games room and there was a snooker table.
Obviously we paired off, East vs West, and Hayashi-san says let's bet a few dollars on the game.
Hayashi-san goes first and I have to admit that although I'm a rubbish snooker player, I thought our money was safe.
Anyway it comes to Misomoto-san's turn and I see that he's left-handed, so I say to Hayashi-san that there's some left-handed cues on the rack. They have a quick conversation and then Hayashi-san asks "Which ones?" .
I'm trying unsuccessfully to keep a straight face when the penny dropped - they just fell about giggling. :)

Cross that bridge when we come to it
  • It's a shame we are in the "red" and at times we are off colour (yellow). I am left green with envy at the deals some clubs are able to complete & am browned off when they beat us to a signing. It's just leaves me feeling blue but of course I am tickled pink when we acquire a big player. Maybe the only way we can go to getting back into the black is to sell our best assets but we do appear if rumours today are to be believed trying to bring some Matty Cash into the London Stadium.
  • Let's hope Matty arrives in a baize of glory then.
