Bowen deal is a better one for Hull as it results in them getting more money in the long run, lump sum up front with achievable add ins. Well that is what is being reported.
I think the loan with option to buy is a sound one as clubs/players may be more likely to sign if they know that if we go down, which is on the cards, the option is not exercised and they can go again in the summer.
But if he doesn't perform that well then prem clubs might lose interest. Where as if he goes to Newcastle or Palace now for example they will more than likely be a premiership team next season.
One way or another we need a proven striker to come in by the end of play tomorrow as otherwise I simply cannot see where the goals are coming from. Haller is (like most) not a lone striker, Antonio is not reliable regard staying fit.
In my view the right back and the midfielder were luxuries if possible the only necessity was a Striker.
If the Club have identified Bowen as the guy we need then we need beat any offer from Palace or Newcastle and not mess about with loan options. Should we go down we will need him just as much and as a proven championship scorer he will be ideal. If he needs a clause to say we must accept an offer of what we have paid should we go down fair enough but we cant mess around on the final day of the window when your need is as great as ours.
But if they don’t need the money this window, then Hull would want to sell to whoever gives them the most in total. So, It’s a loan with an obligation to buy, then they may consider it.

Just another way he might look at it :ok:
Motherwell have tonight rejected an offer from Hull City for striker James Scott.
The proposed deal is believed to be worth around £750,000 plus add-ons; it’s unclear if Hull will return with an improved offer before the deadline.

Reports are emerging that West Ham have won the race to sign Jarrod Bowen.
According to the Athletic's David Ornstein, the Hammers have agreed a deal with Hull to sign the attacking midfielder for a fee of around £22million.
Bowen is set to undergo a medical at the London Stadium at lunchtime, with West Ham fighting off interest from Crystal Palace to get him.
West Ham are said to be paying £14m up front plus a further £8m in add-ons.
