  • Oxford is a strange one. Could be a back-up in both positions, but I don't think anyone knows where he stands at the moment ;hmm

Kinda wish we'd got Mawson, because I think £15m represents something of a snip for Fulham.
  • Surely not?
  • The only way that's even remotely true is if we've agreed to sell Arnautovic, IMO
  • Would be completely stupid to sell Arnie to anybody. Would basically ruin our season.
  • I'm not hugely opposed to the Sanchez deal, if it means that Rice becomes first choice DM. If we spent big on 2 CBs and a DM then it might stop Rice's development in its tracks. However, it is a bit worrying when your backup was useless for Aston Villa...
  • And I suppose that's the counter-argument; how easy is it to find a good, affordable, back-up DM that's prepared to play second fiddle.

Pellegrini is here for three years, possibly longer if both he and we want it. Perhaps the long-term plan is to make do with Rice and Sanchez for this season and then spend an Anderson-sized wedge on a world class DM next summer to compete with, rather than back up, Rice.
  • MAXIM GOMEZ this is unbelievable ! Back on? Barcelona pushing Andre GOmez to us with all kinds of bells and whistles attached. Gary Cahill on a free, it's all going Bonkers. IRONMIKE.

Joe Hart to Burnley for £3.5m, according to Sky.

    How the mighty have fallen.

Pope is out for six months and Heaton was meant to play the second leg of the Europa League match against Aberdeen last week but picked up a calf strain.

Instead Burnley had Anders Lingaard in goal, the last time he played was for Preston North End in a the League Cup match in November 2016 and he let in six against Newcastle. That season he conceded 18 goals in 10 games.

At least Joe Hart gets to play in Europe...

    What’s this
    The mirror reports
Andre Gomes transfer: West Ham wonderkid key to beating Arsenal in race for £48m Barcelona midfielder

The Portuguese playmaker, 25, looks certain to leave the Camp Nou two years after joining from Valencia in a deal worth up to £48m

  • Big Oli coming through in trundles now
  • So rumour has it Marega is going on strike in an attempt to force a move to us

I’m not sure I would want any player who is prepared to take such actions at West Ham. These sorts of things always have a habit of coming back to bite

    ;hmm

    (one for each name mentioned)

I tend to believe EX in terms of what we will do to finish TF business (unless something stupid and tempting comes up on deadline day). Firstly, because he's way more reliable and secondly because I don't think we'll fork out anything significant after what we've already spent.

But Hey! I'm TF greedy so I always hope all the buying rumours are true ;lol
  • So chelsea are gonna break the record fir a keeper beating Alisson with a £71mil move for Kepa something

    Worlds gone mad

Also means we go down to ONLY 3rd highest spenders

    G&S out
  • If we get two more forwards in, then would like Hernandez to be shifted to the mls. ;sub
  • Bakayoko possibly on loan to Milan, just the type of deal we could have benefitted from?
  • Not really, I thought he looked awful last season.

I would still take him over a deal for Sanchez! Could even go for Mbodj from Anderlecht who is supposed to be available for about £4 million.
  • Still think a loan move for Drinkwater makes quite a bit of sense moreso than Sanchez especially with it looking like Kovacic is off to Chelsea
  • All these names being mentioned but has anyone really seen them play other than a few clips on Youtube? It just seems ridiculous.
Trust in Pelle, he's the one being paid millions to put a team together, and stop panicking/moaning about someone who's gone somewhere on a free or a low transfer fee.
    ;wahoo
  • I saw Perez play on YouTube and he’s now my favorite player.

If these figures are true the little guy certainly has a high opinion of himself....

A free signing is not really free...

Be interesting to see where Bernard fits into Marco Silva’s system - and what #efc are paying him considering #whufc were being quoted £200,000 a week wages plus £15m in signing on and agent fees a few weeks ago
  • But Vorse you are not paying the club £50m as he is out of contract. This is why he didi it.
Sanchez is on £500k a week at United for the same reason.
  • Sanchez was transferred in Jan window and was still under contract and was a Swap deal with Mikthyrian so slightly diff but he is still on silly wages

That’s all we need. Another player that really wants to go home to France.
  • Hugill having a medical at Boro it seems
  • Good luck to him ,talk about getting the short straw with us

He's still getting the short straw if he has to go and live in Middlesborough for a year.
