Think noble will still be a good squad player and his injury obviously affected him last year but I think he will struggle to get into the team ( if we sign carvallho) and I don't want to see him being in a Kevin Nolan type situation where he is playing based on past reputation. He has been an outstanding servant to the club but I think he is now in decline and lacks the pace and tackling ability to be a top defensive midfielder and not creative enough for a centre midfielder imo

So what we have, and I'm sure it starts far, far further back still but:

Barcelona/Fans moan how PSG act to make their player move,
as Liverpool/Fans moan how Barcelona act to make their player move,
as Southampton/Fans moan how Liverpool act to make their player move.
etc.

It's almost as if they all think it's Okay to use your 'bigger club' muscle to teams lower than you, but when a club higher/has more financial muscle than you does it to them...

Foreign correspondent types tend to like rugby and tennis so the only one I really talk football with is a Brentford fan. He was fuming about Hogan and sent me a colourful text when we apparently bid £3m for Jota (they want £8m!)

Very few transfers are paid up in full at the time of the deal. They are usually paid over the length of the first contract so say £40m for a 5 year deal would be paid at £8m a year for 5 years.

Diario de Noticias apparently reporting that although Carvalho had reached a verbal agreement to join West Ham he had his fingers crossed behind his back when he made the promise.

I'll post a link to the story when I find it although it will probably all be in Portuguese.

I really think we need a winger after carvalho... feel as though Ayew isn't a winger... which leaves us with Antonio, Arnie and snodgrass ( who should be on his way out too) so we literally have two wingers... not enough for a season imo

We seem to have gone from having too many wingers to barely enough.

As a winger, I think Ayew is best on the left. Otherwise, he's more of a roaming supporting striker.
