The Times West Ham striker Andy Carroll, whose contract expires in the summer, could have played his last game for the club after suffering an ankle injury which could mean the 30-year-old misses the rest of the season.
Andy has been obviously stop start throughout his contract (mainly stop) and whilst I've always desired him to do what he does best, its pretty clear we've moved on style of play wise. Even if he was fit, we pay him way too much to be any kind of impact sub I hope he finds another club and some sort of extended break from injury. Sceptical about that though...
"We are going to give him the time to recover 100 per cent. Maybe next week he will start doing some work on the pitch but we must be calm with him, he needs to recover 100 per cent."
Shame about Carroll, one of my favourite players, although his handful of appearances this season have been very poor. His body is not built for football. I should imagine that would be his playing career finished.
I'll consider it after I've decided what to do with the replica of the Angel of the North in his back garden. I dont like the way that the carrots are arranged either... :ok:
I`d forgotten about Byram. Worth Pelle having a look pre-season. We had all written off Snodgrass this time last year, he`s still only 25, you never know.
From the boss's press conference today, about players for the Leicester game:
- Manuel Lanzini and Samir Nasri will not be available due to injury. - Javier Hernandez couldn't train for past 2 days (ear problem) - Jack Wilshere has worked without problem (hopeful he will get some game time before the end of the season) - and Carlos Sanchez has trained with the squad. - Marko, has worked normally all week.
:weep: Nasri really does fit right in .Feel bad for Lanzini .And Hernandes should be able to play as most of our players seem to have some sort of ear problems as they dont hear most of the time

Byram completes his first 90 minutes for Notts
Looks like he impressed
Dont think he will make it for us but glad to see him back, no doubt he showed talent when at Leeds
